Ventana Sur ANIMATION! 2026 es una sección dedicada a promover la animación latinoamericana y la circulación internacional de proyectos. La convocatoria abre el 31 de julio de 2026 y cierra el 4 de septiembre de 2026. Ventana Sur 2026 se realizará en Montevideo, Uruguay, del 30 de noviembre al 4 de diciembre de 2026.
La convocatoria está dirigida a productores y realizadores latinoamericanos con proyectos de largometrajes o series de animación en etapa de desarrollo o preproducción. Los proyectos deben ser de producción mayoritaria de un país latinoamericano y pueden contemplar coproducciones internacionales. También se aceptan proyectos de técnicas mixtas, siempre que al menos el 50 % del contenido final sea animado.
Los proyectos seleccionados participarán en sesiones de pitch ante un jurado internacional y referentes de la industria, además de reuniones One-to-One con productoras, distribuidoras, canales, plataformas y fondos internacionales. El pitch debe realizarse en inglés. La inscripción es gratuita.

Animation! - VENTANA SUR
IDFA Forum 2026 is an international co-production and financing market dedicated to documentary projects, held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, as part of the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA). The call is open to documentary projects from around the world seeking financing, co-production partners, distribution opportunities, and international industry connections.
The submission period runs from June 1 to July 23, 2026. The event will take place from November 15 to 18, 2026. It accepts creative documentary projects at different stages of development, production, or post-production, including feature documentaries, documentary series, and immersive or interactive projects.

Forum - IDFA
The IBF Europe – Minority Co‑production call by the IDFA Bertha Fund targets creative international documentary projects. Projects must involve at least one European producer and one non-European co-producer, and the director can be from any eligible country. All nonfiction documentary genres are accepted, typically in cinematic format with a minimum duration of 60 minutes.
The next application deadlines are April 1, 2026, and January 15, 2027. Selected projects receive funding in three installments: the first payment (50 %) after contract signing, the second (30 %) upon submission of the rough cut or offline final cut, and the third (20 %) after completion of the film and submission of the final financial report. The first payment is expected between July and October 2026, while the remaining funds depend on the project’s progress, with final delivery required by December 1, 2027.
This fund supports international collaboration, encouraging high-quality documentary productions and fostering cultural exchange between European and non-European producers.

The WIP program aims to provide a platform where filmmakers can showcase their projects to key audiovisual industry professionals, including distributors, festival programmers, and international sales agents.
