ConectaLAB is an audiovisual laboratory organized by the CREA Association and sponsored by the Xunta de Galicia, aimed at screenwriters and directors based in Galicia who are developing feature film or series projects in fiction or documentary. The application period for the 2026 edition runs from October 27 to December 20, 2025. Selected projects will take part in a seven-day artistic residency from April 14 to April 20, 2026 on San Simón Island in Pontevedra. This call is only open to Galician authors, meaning international submissions are not accepted. ConectaLAB focuses on creative development and scriptwriting, offering professional script and directing mentorship during the residency. It accepts projects in the following formats and genres: feature fiction films, feature documentaries, TV fiction series, and TV documentary series. Eligible submissions must include at least a complete first draft for feature films or a pilot draft for series, along with a project dossier. Up to six projects will be selected to participate in this intensive development experience.

ConectaLAB
The IbizaCineFest 2026 Screenplay Competition is open to original short film scripts, written in Spanish or English, with a maximum length of 15 pages, excluding cover and synopsis. Scripts of any genre are accepted, provided they follow professional cinematic formatting; graphic or technical scripts are not allowed.
Submissions are open until January 20, 2026, with early, standard, late, and extended deadlines. The competition is international, welcoming authors of all nationalities. Scripts must be submitted in PDF format, including title, author contact information, and a synopsis of up to 15 lines.
The festival will take place from February 20 to March 1, 2026, in Ibiza, Spain. From all submissions, five finalists will be selected to present a pitch of up to five minutes. The jury will choose the winner and may grant up to two special mentions.
The main prize consists of €1,000 in production support for the short film and participation in the next edition of the festival. All finalists will receive a fee waiver when submitting their completed short film.

Script Competition - IBIZACINEFEST
La convocatoria Co-Pro Pitching Sessions 2026 forma parte del Series Mania Forum y está dirigida a proyectos de series de ficción live action en etapa de desarrollo que busquen coproducción y financiamiento internacional. Se trata de una instancia de pitch profesional, orientada a conectar productores con potenciales socios, financiadores y distribuidores.
La postulación abre el 7 de octubre de 2025 y la fecha límite es el 1 de diciembre de 2025. La convocatoria es internacional y pueden postular productores de cualquier país con proyectos de series de ficción, excluyendo animación y documental. Los proyectos deben contar con al menos tres episodios, con una duración mínima de 26 minutos por episodio.
El evento se realizará de manera presencial en Lille, Francia, en el marco del Series Mania Forum. Las actividades principales se desarrollarán entre el 24 y el 26 de marzo de 2026, incluyendo sesiones de pitching, reuniones uno a uno y encuentros con profesionales de la industria. Previamente, los proyectos seleccionados participarán en sesiones de coaching online entre febrero y marzo de 2026.

SERIES MANIA FORUM
Histeria Lab is a workshop dedicated to the development of film projects in the genres of horror, fantasy, and science fiction. It is part of the Histeria International Fantastic Film Festival, held in San José, Costa Rica. Its goal is to provide filmmakers with tools and guidance to enhance their projects and facilitate their entry into the market. During the workshop, participants receive training and personalized advice from national and international professionals in areas such as screenwriting, direction, production, and pitching. Activities include masterclasses, individual sessions, and the preparation of a pitch, which is presented at the end of the event.

Hysteria Lab
The IBF Classic call from the IDFA Bertha Fund targets filmmakers from selected countries in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Oceania working on creative documentaries. It aims to support projects in development, production, or post-production. The call primarily accepts feature-length documentaries, though some short films may qualify if they meet quality and country criteria. Series, interactive projects, or academic content are not eligible.
Applications for the 2026 round close on February 10, 2026. After review by experts and a selection committee, results are generally announced in April or May, at which point selected filmmakers receive funding. There is no formal award ceremony, but funded projects may be showcased at festivals or industry markets for visibility.
