The EICTV Screenwriting Chair announces the 4th Audiovisual Screenwriting Residency, running from September 8 to December 5, 2025, in Havana. Five original feature‑film projects in development (Spanish or Portuguese) will be selected. Open to screenwriters and audiovisual professionals with prior experience, it comprises 13 weeks of intensive training: dramaturgy, structure, treatment, outline, scene writing, rewriting and tutor guidance. Application deadline: May 23, 2025; results on June 17. Required materials: CV, portfolio, synopsis, personal short story and application form (send to maestriaguion@gmail.com). Fee: €5,000.

The Iberseries & Platino Industria Co-production and Financing Forum 2025 will take place on October 1-2 at Matadero Madrid. This event connects advanced-stage audiovisual projects from Ibero-America with international producers, financiers, and sales agents to promote co-productions between Europe and Latin America. The forum targets fiction series, docuseries, and animation projects with at least 30% of the production budget already secured. Applications are open until June 4, 2025. Participants can join either in person or virtually, with early bird accreditation available until June 1, providing access to a private virtual space for meetings and presentations. The forum aims to strengthen collaboration and financing opportunities in the Ibero-American audiovisual industry. The Pitch for Platforms, Producers, and Distributors at Iberseries & Platino Industria targets audiovisual creators and producers from Ibero-America with projects in all stages—from concept or development to pre-production, production, or packaging. The goal is to foster connections between emerging or established talents and key industry decision-makers, including representatives from major streaming platforms, production companies, and distributors.

Selected projects will be presented in 15-minute private meetings with companies seeking to co-produce, fund, acquire, or distribute audiovisual content. Eligible formats include fiction, animation, and documentary feature films, as well as all types of series (fiction, animation, documentary, and non-fiction).

The event will take place from September 30 to October 3, 2025, at Matadero Madrid, as part of Iberseries & Platino Industria, organized by EGEDA and Fundación Secuoya.

Applications must be submitted through the official website. In the previous edition, over 150 projects were selected, and companies such as Amazon Studios, Sony, Warner Bros. Discovery, and Telemundo participated.

The Cinenido 2025 call for the international screenwriting residency is open to screenwriters worldwide with audiovisual projects at any stage (fiction, documentary, film or TV, animation or live action). The residency will take place from July 28 to August 4, 2025, at El Molino de Lecrín Farm School (Granada, Spain).

The program stands out for its family-friendly approach: selected participants may attend with children under 14, who will enjoy creative and nature-based activities while parents develop their scripts. Between 10 and 12 screenwriters will be selected.

The application deadline is June 5, 2025, at 23:59 (Spain time). The fee is €1,490 per adult and €350 per child, covering training, lodging, and meals.

The Morelia International Film Festival (FICM), in collaboration with Netflix’s Fund for Creative Equity, announces the 3rd Film Project Development Lab for Indigenous and Afrodescendant Filmmakers in Mexico. 10 filmmakers will be selected with projects in development (fiction, documentary, animation, transmedia, or hybrid). The lab will take place October 8–12, 2025, in Morelia, with travel, lodging, and meals covered.

Eligibility: Mexican nationals or legal residents who identify as Indigenous or Afrodescendant, with a project in development (script or advanced treatment required).
