DocuLab: Documentary Lab is an industry program of the Guadalajara International Film Festival, aimed at promoting the development of Ibero-American filmmakers and their documentary films in the editing stage, through in-depth analysis and discussions with experts in the genre.
For its fourteenth edition, DocuLab returns in person, continuing its role as a fundamental training space for the non-fiction genre in Ibero-America.

DOCULAB: DOCUMENTARY LAB - FICG
El 48 se desarrolla en diferentes fines de semana en diferentes ciudades a lo largo del año. En cada ciudad, los equipos de cine locales, desde principiantes hasta profesionales, compiten para hacer un cortometraje en sólo un fin de semana. ¿Tú y tus amigos tenéis lo necesario para hacer una película sobre la marcha?
Todo comienza con el evento inaugural del viernes por la noche, cuando usted y los equipos de su ciudad sacan géneros de un sombrero y reciben los elementos necesarios para su película.
Luego, empieza a correr: escribir, filmar, editar y hacer lo que sea necesario para enviar tu cortometraje el domingo por la noche.
La gran recompensa es ver tu obra maestra en la pantalla grande de un cine local. Se proyectarán todas las películas, tanto puntuales como tardías. No hay nada mejor que ver tu película con el público y ver de primera mano cómo reaccionan ante tu película.
En el evento de premios de la ciudad, se anuncian las películas ganadoras, según lo determinen los jueces locales. Se otorgan más de una docena de premios, desde Mejor Actuación hasta Mejor Dirección y el premio mayor: Mejor Película.

The 48 Hour Film Project
ParisDOC Works‑in‑Progress 2026 is a call from the professional platform of the Cinéma du réel festival, focused on feature documentary projects in advanced editing or post‑production stages. Submission opens on November 17, 2025, and closes on January 7, 2026. The event will take place in Paris, France, on March 25 and 26, 2026, during the festival. The BAM Projects – Documentary Films 2026 call is aimed at feature-length creative documentaries in development, with a minimum duration of 70 minutes. It is organized by the Bogotá Audiovisual Market and is open exclusively to Colombian projects, where both the legal entity and the director must be Colombian nationals.
Applications are open from November 13, 2025, and close on January 8, 2026, at 3:59 p.m. Colombia time. Selected projects will be announced on March 27, 2026. Afterwards, teams will participate in business and creative development activities from April 20 to June 5, 2026, culminating in their participation in the Bogotá Audiovisual Market from July 6 to 10, 2026.

The BAMprojects – Fiction Films call by the Bogotá Audiovisual Market is aimed at feature-length fiction films in development. Applications open on November 13, 2025, and close on January 8, 2026, at 3:59 pm Colombia time. This call is open exclusively to national projects; the production company must be a Colombian legal entity, and the director must hold Colombian nationality.
Selected projects will take part in a development program including preliminary meetings from March 30 to April 1, 2026, and a mentoring route from April 20 to June 5, 2026. The program culminates with the Bogotá Audiovisual Market, taking place from July 6 to 10, 2026.
Only feature-length fiction films with a minimum duration of 70 minutes and at least 20 % of funding secured are eligible. Projects should not have begun shooting.
