The 9th Annual Back in the Box Competition (BIB), offers some of the lowest submission fees with some of the highest acceptance rates on the festival circuit.
Because BIB is a competition and a film festival, we are able to review many more submissions to give more artists a greater chance to showcase their work.
BIB provides an exciting platform for ambitious filmmakers and screenwriters to showcase their skills in direct competition with other creative artists.
Featuring a diverse array of competitive categories (including Best Feature Screenplay, Best Short Screenplay, Best Feature Film, Best Short Film, and Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director and many others), BIB works to shatter the boundaries placed not only between genres but also between undiscovered talents and eager audiences. We are looking for the Best of the Best in the field of entertainment. And we are hoping you are prepared the meet the competition head on.
A slew of prizes are available through participation in BIB. Several of prior year's winning screenplays have already moved into production, and some films had secured distribution. There's no telling what sort of remarkable stories or careers this year's competition will unleash.
This is a film and screenplay competition. All preliminary judging is done by a panel of industry professionals and is open to the public to participate, but the film finalists will be screened in beautiful Santa Monica California and final judging will be made with voting by the attending audience.

The finalists in the Film competition will be screened in the Ocean Screening Room in beautiful Santa Monica, California the premier digital cinema in Santa Monica. What better way to start your Christmas vacation than to see a film on the coast of sunny California. Here, you will experience a breathtaking vista of the Pacific Ocean from the theater entrance. Chosen by Universal, Disney, Paramount and Sony as the Santa Monica Academy Awards screening venue, Ocean Screening also screens for Grammy Awards as well as Sundance.

This is an exclusive event for participants who are serious about moving forward with projects and will be an informal mix between actors, producers and directors. The people who hold the exclusive “Screening” tickets will be the final set of judges for the films that have progressed to the final round. They will decide which lucky filmmakers will take home the prizes in each category.
Discussion topics include how actors can make contact to directors and producers of indie films when they’re available and ready to work. Directors attending will include filmmakers who have active projects they want to move forward with. Producers attending will include representatives who are actively searching for key projects to invest in. Representatives from Fernleif Productions will also be in attendance looking for projects to expand their portfolio including films and talent for not only short films investment, but for additional talent for creating content for electronic games and applications. Stonefair International Film Festival is an online and live film festival, headquartered in Piatra-Neamt, Romania. Stonefair IFF is committed to supporting access to film in all of Piatra-Neamt community as well as supporting young film makers in their education.
The festival runs in 3 quarters, selections and screenings being made every 4 months, the third edition is due to take place on the 8th of May, 2017.
There will be 16 categories and Best Film will receive the Stonefair IFF Trophy, the winning films will be screened at the "G. T. Kirileanu" Public Library.

The Student Film Prize Serge Daney is a competition for short films by students of any films studies organism (public or private). The competitors have to speak French to be able to take advantage of the main Prize.

The Vieques International Film Festival 2017 is designed to provide exposure to filmmakers of Puerto Rican, Hispanic, and Latino heritage. Euregion Shorts Film Festival offers you a three-days festival experience with the best films from all over the world (maximum duration: 20 minutes, every genre), an award show, workshops, seminars and more.
For the traveling program, every two months an event will be organized in a different city in the Euregion in which the best and most remarkable films from the Meuse-Rhine Euregion will be screened. Each event, an experienced professional will be invited to share his or her knowledge.

Kan-Kan Media is pleased to announce the second edition of “A LONG WEEK OF SHORT FILMS FESTIVAL” Shanghai.
“A LONG WEEK OF SHORT FILMS FESTIVAL” is a unique film event that aims to bring together Chinese film and art institutions, film professionals, students and audience in Shanghai and create a platform to exchange and promote the diversity of the world cinema. During 10 days the festival will present more than 200 short films selected from more than 60 countries around the world.
“A LONG WEEK OF SHORT FILMS” Festival is the result of the collaboration between Kan-Kan Media and Chinese art and film institutions like Minsheng Museum of Contemporary Arts in Shanghai (official host of the Festival) and Shanghai Film Art Academy. It arises from the need to create a platform for a dialogue and exchange between film professionals, students, film communities and audiences taking as a reference point Shanghai/China.
The previous edition of LWSF was a huge success with more than 2000 submissions, 200 films selected and 10 days of film screenings, workshops, talks, music concerts and dance performances attended by 1000+ film-lovers, among them film professionals, students, film communities and artists of other disciplines.
This year the focus will be on the discovery of emerging talents both internationally and in China in order to bring them into the public spotlight and offer them the opportunities for networking and a platform where ideas and work can be exchanged among a new generation of film creators worldwide.
The festival has two main categories: International Section and Chinese Section, accompanied by showcases of outstanding festivals from various countries, as well as workshops, master-classes and other special events.
All the films meeting the submission criteria will be considered for the International Short Film Competition Award for Best Short Film, Best Director, Audience and Outstanding Story Award.

Silk Road International Film Festival (SRFF) is held annually during the month of March in Dublin, Ireland.
The Silk Road Film Festival celebrates cinema, culture and art, presenting films from regions, which were once part of the historical network of the Silk Road ancient trade routes and focuses in particular on Asian, Arab, Persian, African, Mediterranean and European cinema. The Green Me GmbH is a Berlin based company and the organizer of the annual environmental film festival called the Green Me Global Festival for Sustainability. This festival was initiated in 2008 by Nicolai Niemann, and has over the years transformed from a lounge to a full blown film festival with three major sections: Film – the festival offers a platform for the green films, green publicity and green economy. Movies with environmentally related topics from all over the world are evaluated and screened; Congress – on this platform, professional minds engage in panel discussions on diverse environmental topics; Marketplace– where companies and NGOs represent themselves and exhibit their products and services; Gala Night- where awards are given out to the award winning films. Finalising each festival is the award night, during which the best films from different categories receive awards. Since 2016, the Green Me Global Festival has been hosted in four continents and five cities, including Berlin, Germany; Lagos, Nigeria; Tehran, Iran; Cannes, France; Los Angeles, USA.
