The Henri Langlois Association, with its new presidency, launches the first edition of the HENRI LANGLOIS FESTIVAL. There will be three editions this year with three themes and three screening days. The festival promotes contemporary short films responding to a specific theme every edition. Each edition will be screening a heritage film illustrating the theme.
The next edition will take place on June 19th, 2022 at the ‘Théâtre des Déchargeurs’ (Paris).
Theme: TO DEVOUR
The first edition took place on March 20th (on the theme "Wandering").
The Alimenterre festival raises awareness of food and agriculture issues and questions our ways of cultivating the land and living on it.
It offers screenings followed by debates, meetings, workshops and concerts with specialists from the world of agriculture, filmmakers, experts from the North and the South, as well as people involved in initiatives for healthy, sustainable and resilient agricultural and food systems.
It takes place over 5 days in mid-October in Belgium (Brussels and 6 cities in Wallonia) before touring West Africa (Senegal, DRC, Burkina Faso).
It is organised by SOS Faim, an international solidarity NGO active since 1964 in the food and environmental transition in Africa and Latin America. The NGO supports family farming, which has enormous potential to meet the challenges of food security, social equity and environmental sustainability.

Multiple appointments, surprises and opportunities to share together films, astonishing, moving forms, sensitive creations, and singular universes.
The festivities are divided into two highlights: an evening with the program of a film-concert and a day of continuous screening of short films, everywhere in the center of the village and in unusual places: cellar, garage, church, business, or homestay. The public will wander from place to place to discover these small films of multiple universes which allow the spectator, to like, not to like, to discuss, to come back to see, to live a small concentrate of emotions and exchanges.
This festival will focus on the themes of ecology and sustainable development in the broad sense. It will be an opportunity to promote the distribution of films, works and audiovisual documents from all countries, of all genres and for all types of audiences. If there is something we all have in common, it is movement. As Akram Khan put it: “Movement is the essential ingredient of how the world continues, or survives.”
When our body’s movement fuses with the cinematographical movement, one of the most original film genres is born: dance film. While words can mislead, the body language does not lie.
Choreoscope is the International Dance Film Festival of Barcelona. A unique event dedicated not only to those passionate about dance, but also to those who enjoy quality cinema. Born in 2013, with three full-house celebrated events, our goal is to promote the strong ties with art in general and with film and dance in particular.
Movies do not know any boundaries. Dance does not either. There is a common language joining them. The universal language of movement. Choreoscope ́s mission is to connect this fascinating language with an audience eager to experience something new, different, something special. Choreoscope Barcelona is the dance film festival of those who go one step further.
The competition is addressed to filmmakers from all over the world who produce short films and documentaries.
Its purpose is to appraise short films and documentary-films whose goal is expressiveness and cultural disclosure starting a cinematographic event throughout Val d’Intelvi.

This international meeting, already a classic in Punta del Este, has some peculiarities that distinguish it from other Jewish Film Festivals in the world, due to the fact that it takes place in such a special seaside resort as Punta del Este, a meeting point where communities from different countries gather annually in Uruguay.
The Punta del Este Jewish Film Festival (Festival Internacional de Cine Judío de Uruguay, FICJU®) was born in 2003, with the purpose of generating a cultural, educational, didactic and illustrative space, oriented to promote the knowledge of the history of the Jewish people and its diverse cultures and traditions, thus seeking to strengthen our identity and integration through art.
Fiction films and documentaries with different perspectives of the Jewish theme are shown, spaces are organized for the analysis and reflection of the history, customs and cultures of our people around the world, and the memory of the Shoa (Holocaust) is constantly maintained.
We discover new aspects of our heritage and identity, as well as learn about the current conditions of the different Jewish communities around the world, fostering the integration of all Jewish people through the knowledge of our shared essence.
Thanks to the above, the Punta del Este Jewish Film Festival becomes a focus of tourist attraction, with an average of 2,500 attendees.

Film night at the castle is multicultural open air galery of short films, unique in Europe and Slovak area. Thanks to its` unique placement at Saris castle open air grounds, festival attracts` film lovers since 2011.
Since then around 500 short films has been screened at Saris Castle hill. Festival will be accompanied with series of workshops about audio-visual and film, and other activities focused on families (theatre for kids, painting activities,) and music performances for all. During this year we would like to offer two, new competition sections. Award for
- The best protagonist at the documentary film (selected by expert jury), and Anti Award -
Worst short film of the festival (audience award). We also want to create new ‘Chill out zone’ for visitors who want to enjoy nature around The Castle Saris. For Family visitors we would like to offer full-fledged program as usual. Visitors will also appreciate unique opportunity for camping which is not allowed during regular year. This opportunity is one of many benefits visitors enjoy during our festival. Film night starts with one feature film and a whole night of short films after from various productions and countries.

LIFE AFTER OIL International Film Festival is an environmental & human rights film festival
As we are preparing for the post-petroleum era?
This festival starts with the intention of overshooting the simple exposure. Although it is important to raise public awareness on the risks connected to the exploitation and to the use of natural resource in the production of fossil fuels, still remains, the enormous and dramatic problem of the disasters caused by the lack of energy, with particular reference to the water supply, highly relevant to the world population. The main objective of the festival will be, therefore, not only emphasizing problems related to the use of fossil fuels, but especially identifying the alternatives which take into account, according to the present scientific knowledge, the several well-known methods of production.
The main idea of the Festival: SYNTHESIS OF CINEMA AND MUSIC
The aim of the Festival: to create a platform for composers, directors and journalists to work together (communications, competition, education, services).
Within the framework of the Festival there are competitions of film music and short films. The competitive program of the Festival implies the formation of creative tandems in the process of the competitive program.
