Fidé is a festival in France which is completely dedicated to the international student documentary. It's about any filmed, sound or multimedia work leaning on the reality and which was realized during director's studies. Universities, schools, workshops and students of the whole world participate in it, for about 600 documentaries registered every year. Its principles are the ones of the promotion and the celebration of the student creations, except the usual circuits, in which they rarely find their place.
The festival has no restrictions of the date of the production or original support, subject or length.
Directors of all nationalities are welcomed to submit their films. Subtitles in French or English are demanded.
Next Fidé will take place in April 2021, in Parisian suburbs.
SANFICI is a space to generate meetings at different levels, with an overcoming and innovative will. First of all, it is a space for the relationship between spectators, filmmakers and theorists around cinema and all border and heterodox manifestations. Secondly, it is a special and temporary meeting point.
SANFICI wants to become, year after year, the place of convergence for world independent cinema. But it also wants to be the space where the past and the future dialogue. The place where the most diverse film traditions are embraced with their riskiest proposals.
The Wild Indie Sci-fi & Fantasy Film Festival continues to grow and celebrate our favourite genres of film. Enter once, your film is assessed for all the categories (see note below). It's a shorts specific festival. There are prizes for some categories and we are trying to get more all the time. It's a BIG screen in London. The new season of WISFFF opens officially on the 5th November, 2022 ("fireworks night" in the UK). The festival is actually open to test and soft launch from October, 2023. You can enter from that date if you wish. Screening will be a big screen in London in November 2023.
During 2020, 2021, and 2022 - The Wild Indie Sci-Fi and Fantasy Film Festival was hosted at the same venue, Greenwich IMAX Odeon Theatre in London on it's lovely big screens. And… “Oh My Word the films look amazing in there!!”. We have had an awesome and ever growing selection of films at the screening, with many more films on the online version of the festival. The online festival site for 2022 ran until November 2022. There are some photos of the screening event on here.
There are a number of challenges, awards and prizes for Micro (2min), Mini (10min), and Short (25min) film categories within the genre.
