A-TAR: International Festival of Film Schools is now accepting submissions from all colleges, universities and film institutes. It will screen shorts and feature films produced by film students and faculty.
A-TAR will take place from September 23 rd to September 27 th, 2019 in the city of Mexicali, Mexico.

Neben dem großen internationalen Wettbewerb umfasst das Ca'Foscari Kurzfilmfestival den Wettbewerb „Olga Brunner Levi“, der sich auf Kurzfilme von Schülern mit dem Thema „Fraulichkeit und Musik“ konzentriert, sowie einen internationalen Wettbewerb mit Musikvideos von Filmschülern oder Studenten.
FUFF is a short film festival, developing interest towards Finno-Ugric fiction and experimental films made by Finno-Ugric filmmakers, or films dealing with Finno-Ugric topics. We welcome film entries from all over the world. Independent filmmakers who are not part of mainstream commercial filmmaking are especially encouraged to submit their work. We also encourage the submission of student films.
The festival has different Panorama sections - Hungarian Short Films, Estonian Short Film and Finnish Short Films. Finno-Ugric Short documentaries and Finno-Ugric experimental films. There is NO competition program this year BUT we willl give out 3 prizes in the section of SMALL NATION FILMS. Das 35. Internationale Festival Message to Man für Dokumentar-, Kurzspiel-, Animations- und Experimentalfilme findet vom 17. bis 25. Oktober 2025 in St. Petersburg, Russland, statt.
Im Laufe der Jahre hat das Festival herausragende Persönlichkeiten des Weltkinos empfangen, darunter Werner Herzog, Ulrich Seidl, Claude Lanzmann, Isabelle Huppert, Fanny Ardant, Agnès Varda, Mira Nair, Paolo Sorrentino, Alan Berliner, Eric Roberts, Jonathan Rosenbaum, Abdellatif Kechiche, Udo Kier und viele andere.
Message to Man blickt auf drei Jahrzehnte der Kinoentwicklung zurück und wurde 1989 in Leningrad vom Filmemacher Mikhail Litvyakov gegründet, der heute als Ehrenpräsident des Festivals fungiert.
2010 übernahm Alexei Uchitel, ein renommierter Regisseur von Dokumentar- und Spielfilmen, die Rolle des Präsidenten des Festivals.
Das Festivalprogramm umfasst drei Wettbewerbe: internationale, nationale und experimentelle Wettbewerbe. Sie bieten sowohl Langfilmen als auch Kurzfilmen eine Plattform, um um den Grand Prix des Festivals zu konkurrieren. Message to Man zieht jedes Jahr Tausende von Kinoliebhabern nach St. Petersburg.
Im Jahr 2024 zog das Festival über 10.000 Zuschauer an, und in seinen Wettbewerben und Programmen außerhalb des Wettbewerbs waren rund 200 Filme aus der ganzen Welt zu sehen.

Wunderschönes Festival, das in Modica und Gela - ITALIEN stattfindet.. Modica ist der Geburtsort von Salvatore Quasimodo und das Festival ist ihm gewidmet, dem Nobelpreis für Poesie. Das Festival hat seine 16. Ausgabe erreicht und heißt Dichter, Videofilmer, Regisseure, Schriftsteller und alle Künstler willkommen, die sich mit dem Thema des Festivals befassen: Kino und Poesie. Innerhalb von 20 Autominuten erreichen Sie den Kolob Canyon of Zion National Park, das Cedar Breaks National Monument, das Brian Head Ski Resort, trockene Wüste, Schafhirten, Ranches, rote Berge, grüne Berge und UFO-Sichtungen. Die Lage ist ideal für Filmemacher, die Urlaub suchen. Es ist ein Rückzugsort für Künstler für Film, Küche, Partys und Workshops mit aufgeschlossenen Fachleuten. Dieses aufstrebende Festival findet jeden Herbst in Cedar City statt.

ÜBER DAS FESTIVAL
Das Internationale Red Rock Film Festival. Das Red Rock Film Festival wurde 2007 im Süden Utahs gegründet und entwickelte sich schnell zu einem international anerkannten Festival mit preisgekrönten Juroren und einem strengen Vorauswahlverfahren. Es wurde sowohl 2009 als auch 2013 vom MovieMaker Magazine in die Liste der „besten Festivals, die die Eintrittsgebühr wert sind“ aufgenommen.
DEMOKRATISCHE FILMAUSWAHL
Alle Filme werden von Mitgliedern unseres Vorschauausschusses rezensiert und nach den Kriterien Regie, Drehbuch, Schauspiel/Talent, Produktionswerte und Werte nach der Produktion bewertet. Lokal oder international, Freund oder Fremder, hübsch oder schlicht, berühmt oder nicht: Alle Filme werden gleich behandelt und durchlaufen dieselbe demokratische Filmauswahl.
DEMOGRAFISCHE
Die Bevölkerungsgruppe ist gut ausgebildet und besteht hauptsächlich aus leeren Nestern, Studenten und älteren Menschen. Das Festival hat sich auch zum Ziel gesetzt, neue Filme für kluge Menschen sowie hochwertige Filme für Jugendliche, Sportfilme und Filme mit einer Botschaft zu finden.
GENRE
Alle Genres werden berücksichtigt. Obwohl Dokumentarfilme beim Red Rock Film Festival ein dominierender Schwerpunkt waren, lobt das Festivalpublikum oft die Vielfalt und Vielfalt der Filme, die für das Festival in Utah ausgewählt wurden. Animations-, Kunst-, Kinder-, Komödien-, Dokumentar-, Drama-, Experimental-, Fiktion-, Erzähl-, Romanze-, Sport-, Studenten-, Horror-, Suspense-, Mystery-, Musical-, Musikvideos, Kriegsthemen, Frauenfragen, Familien- und humanitäre Filme werden alle berücksichtigt. Kulturelle Vielfalt ist auch ein Höhepunkt des Festivals. Afrikanische, amerikanische, asiatische, europäische, indische, indigene, Inselbewohner, Latinos, Buddhisten, Christen, Hindus, Muslime, Spirituelle, Yogi und andere philosophische, staatliche, historische und künstlerische Kulturen sollen erforscht werden.
WETTBEWERB:
Alle Genres werden berücksichtigt, darunter Animations-, Dokumentar-, Experimental-, Fiktion-, Musikvideo- und Studentenfilme. Das Festival hat mehrere Wettbewerbskategorien, darunter einzigartige Unterkategorien wie Featurette und Kurzfilm.
Die Programmdirektoren können nach eigenem Ermessen auch weitere Kategorien auswählen, je nachdem, wie viele qualifizierte Beiträge eingegangen sind.
JEDER FILM VERDIENT EIN ZUHAUSE
Es geht nur darum, wie sehr wir einen Film mögen und wo wir ihn platzieren. Wir wollen einfach einen guten, originellen Film, der unsere Mission zeigt. Wir gehen davon aus, dass sich einige Filme hervorragend für die Kinos eignen würden, andere für das Fernsehen, einige für den Unterricht, für unsere Filmreihe oder für eine großartige Premiere. Um den unabhängigen Geist zu fördern, ist Red Rock bestrebt, ein Zuhause für alle Filme zu finden, die sich für den Wettbewerb qualifizieren. Dies gibt den Filmemachern die Möglichkeit, ihre Arbeit bekannt zu machen, auch wenn sie es vielleicht nicht ins Festivalfinale schaffen. Das Festival veranstaltet auch einen Mini-Filmmarkt, das ganze Jahr über Sondervorführungen und wir geben Empfehlungen für andere Festivals.
FILMMARKT
Der Utah Film Market ist ein kleiner Bereich des Festivals, in dem Filmemacher und andere Branchenexperten Filme in der Festivalbibliothek oder in speziellen Branchenvorführungen ansehen können, die ausgewählten Finalisten und anderen Favoriten des Festivals angeboten werden.
Das London International Animation Festival präsentiert stolz das gesamte Spektrum der kreativen Animation und zeigt, dass Animation für jeden geeignet ist.
LIAF wurde 2003 gegründet und zielt darauf ab, das populäre Missverständnis zu zerstreuen, dass Animation nur Cartoons für Kinder ist, indem sie ein möglichst breites Spektrum an intelligenten, unterhaltsamen und provokativen aktuellen Filmen aus aller Welt sowie Retrospektiven und Fachsitzungen aus Ländern und Animateure, die normalerweise nicht solche Aufmerksamkeit hervorrufen.
Unser jährliches 10-tägiges Festival umfasst Gala-Premieren, Retrospektiven, Q&A's mit Filmemachern, Workshops, Publikumsabstimmungen und das Best of the Festival-Screening.

SALÓN INTERNACIONAL DE LA LUZ®
El Salón Internacional de La Luz, Volumen XI, tendrá lugar en Bogotá D.C., Colombia, del 12 al 17 de mayo de 2020. Este año estará dedicado a establecer las relaciones entre la pintura y la luz, y su aporte a la creación fotográfica y cinematográfica.
El Salón Internacional de La Luz cumple 11 años dedicados a la imagen, a la creación con la luz y a la dirección de fotografía cinematográfica. Tendrá películas en competencia en las categorías de largometrajes ficción y documental, cortometraje ficción y documental, spot publicitario, video clip, experimental en cine, película preservada, realidad virtual y trabajo universitario entre otras categorías, donde se premiará exclusivamente el área de Dirección de Fotografía.
Se desarrollarán eventos teóricos sobre la luz, con invitados internacionales, conferencias técnicas y Show-rooms, con la muestra de la última tecnología en cámaras, películas, luces y soportes para la imagen en movimiento. Además, se realizará la muestra “125 años Luz”, con la proyección de algunas de las películas más importantes dentro de la historia de la dirección de fotografía cinematográfica.
PROGRAMA
El Salón Internacional de La Luz® comprende los siguientes apartados:
1-SECCIÓN OFICIAL EN COMPETENCIA
1.1. Pueden participar obras audiovisuales de cualquier nacionalidad, producidas con fecha posterior o igual a enero 01 de 2018.
1.2. Las categorías de la presente convocatoria son:
1.2.1. Largometraje Ficción (Duración mínima de 70 minutos).
1.2.2 Largometraje Documental. (Duración mínima 60 minutos).
1.2.3. Cortometraje Ficción ( Duración mínima de cinco minutos. Duración máxima 40 minutos).
1.2.4. Cortometraje Documental. ( Duración mínima de quince minutos. Duración máxima 40 minutos).
1.2.5. Video Clip.
1.2.6. Spot publicitario.
1.2.7. Obra experimental (Género libre y formato de captura exclusivamente: Cine súper 8mm, cine 16 mm, cine 35mm, cine Súper 35 mm y Cine 65mm, o mezcla de soportes, y con duración no superior a 30 minutos).
1.2.8. Película restaurada de cualquier época (Género y duración libre).
1.2.9. Trabajo de escuela o Universidad de cine, medios audiovisuales o afines (en los géneros de ficción y documental con una duración no inferior a 1 minuto, ni superior a 50 minutos).
1.2.10. Serie o película para televisión (realizadas exclusivamente para canales de televisión u otras pantallas diferentes a las salas de cine), de cualquier temática y duración.
1.2.11. Obras de VR (Virtual reality-Realidad virtual) de cualquier temática y duración.
1.3. Se premiará exclusivamente el área de dirección de fotografía.
1-4- Todas las obras para su selección, deben presentarse con subtítulos en español exclusivamente, si este no es su idioma original.
1.5. La inscripción de las obras (película, spot publicitario, video clip, experimental o trabajo de escuela de cine) deberá realizarse a través del sitio web del Salón, www.saloninternacionaldelaluz.com, enviar enlace para preselección a salondelaluz@gmail.com o en las plataformas habilitadas (www.festhome.com), hasta del 21 de marzo de 2020.
1.6. Los interesados deben llenar el formulario de inscripción que aparece en el sitio web del Salón Internacional de La Luz®, con toda la información requerida, incluida la ficha bio-filmográfica del participante.
No se aceptarán solicitudes de inscripción incompletas y sin firma. Este formulario se debe enviar antes de la fecha de cierre al correo electrónico: salondelaluz@gmail.com
1.6. La inscripción de una obra se acompañará además, de materiales de prensa y publicidad tales como: stills, press kits y tráileres. La copia de selección contendrá exclusivamente la grabación de la obra inscrita. Se recomienda que el remitente verifique la correcta reproducción de la copia de selección antes de enviarla al Salón. La imposibilidad de visualizar el contenido de una copia de selección, o que esté defectuosa, invalida automáticamente la inscripción de la obra en el SalónInternacional de La Luz®. Las copias de selección no serán devueltas, y pasarán formar parte del archivo del Salón Internacional de La Luz®
Las películas en idiomas diferentes al español, deberán tener obligatoriamente subtítulos en español, de no ser así, no se tendrán en cuenta para la selección final.
1.7. El jurado en cada categoría estará compuesto por reconocidos profesionales del sector cinematográfico, y sus nombres se darán a conocer el día de la inauguración del Salón Internacional de La Luz®.
1.8. Las características de los premios para cada categoría se informarán durante el transcurso del Salón Internacional de La Luz®.
ENVÍO DE COPIAS DE EXHIBICIÓN
1. Las copias para exhibición de las obras seleccionadas por el Salón Internacional de La Luz® , deberán enviarse antes del 15 de abril de 2020.
2. El Salón Internacional de La Luz®, sólo podrá exhibir las obras que participen en la Sección Oficial en alguno de los siguientes formatos:
• Cine 35 mm y 16 mm, DCP, Archivo de Datos, BluRay, LTO 6 o 7.
3. Los costos de envío de las copias desde el lugar de expedición corren por cuenta de quien inscribe la obra.
4. Por disposición de las autoridades de aduana, los materiales inscritos entrarán en el país bajo el régimen de importación temporal.
5. El seguro contratado por el Salón Internacional de La Luz®, cubre los riesgos de incendio, pérdida, robo, daño y destrucción de la copia para el período comprendido entre la llegada al Salón y su retorno a la dirección indicada por quien haya inscrito la copia.
6. En caso de pérdida o deterioro imputable, la indemnización por parte del Salón Internacional de La Luz®, se limitará al costo real de la reproducción de la copia. El plazo máximo para efectuar cualquier reclamación será de dos (2) meses a partir de la fecha de devolución.
DISPOSICIONES FINALES
1. El Salón Internacional de La Luz®, se reserva el derecho de seleccionar las obras que participan en la Sección Oficial y de establecer el orden y la fecha de exhibición de cada película. Una vez que la aceptación de una obra haya sido comunicada por el Comité de Selección al autor, productor u otra parte interesada que la haya inscrito, y esta haya manifestado su conformidad al respecto, dicha obra no podrá ser retirada antes de su proyección en el certamen.

El SIL®, ofrece un programa de actividades destinado a los profesionales de la dirección de fotografía, la post producción y todo lo relacionado con la creación de la imagen. 4- HOMENAJES
Se desarrollarán eventos teóricos sobre la luz, con invitados internacionales, conferencias técnicas y Show-rooms, con la muestra de la última tecnología en cámaras, películas, luces y soportes para la imagen en movimiento. Además, se realizará la muestra “125 años Luz”, con la proyección de algunas de las películas más importantes dentro de la historia de la dirección de fotografía cinematográfica. Adicionalmente se dedicará esta edición, a explorar la relación entre la luz y la pintura y su influencia en la fotografía y cinematografía.

#ComCorto es un certamen anual organizado dentro del marco de la Facultad de Comunicación de la Universidad de Sevilla. Está abierto a cortometrajes y documentales de un máximo de 5min30seg de duración, realizados o producidos por alumnos de las diferentes universidades públicas de Andalucía.

Das Canadian Diversity Film Festival ist ein Markenevent, das unsere unglaubliche Vielfalt feiert. Unser Ziel ist es, verschiedene Gemeinschaften zusammenzubringen, um unsere Unterschiede anzunehmen und unsere gemeinsamen Erfahrungen zu entdecken. Es ist ein Schwerpunkt, durch den Filmemacher ein Verständnis von Gleichheit, sozialer Gerechtigkeit, Nichtdiskriminierung, Vielfalt und Multikulturalismus fördern, herausfordern und entwickeln.
Wir akzeptieren alle Genres von Filmen aus der ganzen Welt. Wir schaffen eine Chance für Filmemacher, ihre Filme beurteilen zu lassen und sie mit anderen Filmemachern konkurrieren zu lassen. Wir führen einen umfassenden Bewertungsprozess durch und wählen nur hochwertige Filme aus.
Breaking away from traditional norms, Frame by Sound presented by Vents Magazine offer patrons a unique and groundbreaking experience of its own kind. By taking it online, FxS reaches audiences around the world in an effort to bring a personal film and music festival in the comfort of their own home. Various ways to experience are via computer, mobile, ROKU/APPLE TV.
Film enthusiasts can get live backstage access and interviews and interact with panelists in special online Q&A sessions, workshops, panels featuring filmmakers, cast members and entertainment industry professionals. The Erie International Film Festival Call For Entries is now open to the US and International filmmakers, and we shall accept all genres of film including Narrative Features, Narrative Shorts, Animation Features and Shorts, Experimental Features and Shorts, and all forms of Horror, Suspense and Thriller films of Short and Feature length, all lengths of Comedies and Documentaries, along with Feature and Short lengths of GLBT and Religious/Spirituals films, along with Music Videos for the 2018 festival.
Our festival is seeking the best films that the world has to offer while working to give new and veteran Independent Filmmakers the attention they deserve.
As a 501c(3) non-profit, the Erie International Film Festival will accept submissions of films regardless if those films are of world premiere status at the time of submission, or if the film has been screened publicly or otherwise distributed anywhere at the time of submission.
Film enlightens the world, opens our eyes, and shows us things we do not see every day, and makes us feel things we do not always feel. Across countries, languages and classes, a film has the ability to provide us with a release, an escape, forgetting the real world and the cares of everyday life while expanding the imagination and opening the door to new possibilities.
Our festival introduces independent filmmakers the world over to Erie Pennsylvania, as our City embraces the arts and culture that the worldwide filmmaking community delivers with new stories, and new points of view.
The Erie International Film Festival celebrates new trends in digital media and recognizes Transmedia Filmmakers who employ an innovative, interactive, web-based or multi-platform approach to story creation. Through open submissions, selections will be presented to the public via state-of-the-art-technology.
Our Festival’s mission is to help filmmakers reach the broadest possible audience while allowing the general public to experience the power of cinema in the digital age while showcasing the City of Erie as not only an excellent tourist destination but as a filmmaking alternative of the East Coast.
In addition to our live Film Festival event that will take place in December 2018, our festival will expand its reach beyond the great City of Erie Pennsylvania, offering to both filmmakers who may not be able to attend our festival, and to independent film lovers around the world, the opportunity to take part in our festival through a unique virtual theater platform with our online festival, December 6 – December 15, 2018.
Much like with the digital technology that has swept independent film festivals throughout the world since the early 2000s, for many reasons the virtual theater is quickly becoming the first, best choice for festivals, and the new home of Independent film screening worldwide.
The virtual theater is the future of film festivals, as more and more festivals are now screening films online, and even the big festivals such as the Sundance Film Festival and the Tribeca Film Festival are moving to online screenings.
Our virtual theater allows the filmmaker’s work to be showcased to the world with the highest levels of security and presentation quality. Unlike any online screening system in the world, ours never allows films to be copied, downloaded, or reproduced in any way, nor can the HTML code of any film be copied and pasted into any other site successfully. No film launched in our virtual theater can play or even appear on any other website.
It was with much time and expense that this state-of-the-art and revolutionary online screening platform was developed, always keeping both the Filmmaker’s peace of mind.
