The Trujillo Film Festival is a non-profit event, the only one of its kind in the country, entirely dedicated to disseminating Peruvian cinematography.
The initiative has won three times the prize of the National Contest for Cultural Management for Cinema and Audiovisual, granted by the Ministry of Culture, thanks to its promoting role and decentralizing work of our cinema.
Algeciras Fantástika is a multidisciplinary cultural event specialized in matters of fantastic nature, suspense, terror and science fiction, organized by Algeciras City Council and the University of Cadiz.
Indy Film Fest was founded in 2004 to celebrate the art of cinema and to create a shared experience around film in Indianapolis. We are a non-profit, international, independent film festival programming both features and shorts. Our all-volunteer staff strives to bring the best films the industry has to offer to our community from home and abroad. Our programmers aim to foster new talent and help filmmakers connect with the global industry. We are also dedicated to educating and developing audiences for international and independent cinema in Indy, screening the kind of innovative, visionary work that may not normally achieve distribution in this area.
Indy Film Fest is looking for the best independent features and shorts no matter the category or genre including: live action, animated, drama, comedy, narrative, documentary, horror, sci-fi, and experimental. Our annual festival spanning over 10+ days typically programs around 25 features and 100 short films, with over 90% from submissions.
Always growing and adapting, the Indy Film Fest began as the three-day Indianapolis International Film Festival in 2004. We quickly expanded to our current 10-day format in 2006, moved our festivities to the summer in 2009, changed our name to the Indy Film Fest in 2014, and since 2018 have been back home in our original spring timeframe. Due to COVID-19 our 2020 and 2021 festivals were primarily virtual and our 2022 - 2024 festivals were hybrid 5-day in-person festivals followed by virtual availability and concluding with award-winner in-person screenings on the final weekend. That format is our goal for the 2025 festival and before selection decisions are made filmmakers will be informed of any changes to dates or format and given the opportunity to request their submission fee be applied to a future festival if those changes are not acceptable.
Alumni of the Indy Film Fest (and Indianapolis International Film Festival) are eligible for a reasonable number of free submissions. Films with significant ties to Indiana are eligible for drastically reduced submission fees. Examples of eligibility include the director or writer being a current Indiana resident or native, or the film being primarily shot within Indiana. Please contact submissions@indyfilmfest.org to see if you are eligible for either of these opportunities.
It is a vibrant and exciting celebration of the film industry whose main objective is to provide a platform for emerging filmmakers and encourage interaction between filmmakers and audience.
This annual event brings together industry experts and film professionals, with seventh art enthusiasts and movie lovers from the central zone of San Luis Potosí.
We strongly believe in the importance of giving young filmmakers a voice and visibility, providing an invaluable platform for these emerging talents to showcase their work.
In the official selection, there is a careful curation of the best contemporary Mexican and Latin American films.
CINEMAGIA Movie Awards is an ambitious and magical online independent international film festival that was born, thanks to an intuition of the Artistic Director Daniele Gangemi, as an offshoot of the prestigious CINEMAGIA ONLINE online cinema platform and multiplex, an authoritative point of reference for international independent cinema, which offers production of a virtual multiplex for the launch of their works, accompanying them by the hand in the impervious and difficult distribution path that will eventually lead them to a well-deserved meeting with the public.
The declared goal of the CINEMAGIA Movie Awards is to search and find the true talents of the independent cinema around the world and give them the necessary prominence to become the celebrities of the future.
Only those who hold the rights to a work can register it for the CINEMAGIA Movie Awards, by paying the registration fee provided for by the CINEMAGIA Movie Awards and having the right, if interested, to the publication of their works, if they are officially selected by the jury, to publish them in the multiplex of the CINEMAGIA Online platform, from the moment of selection of the works up to the awarding of the prizes.

In addition to our programming, we are dedicated to providing opportunities for networking, mentorship, and professional development to filmmakers from underrepresented communities. We actively collaborate with organizations and initiatives that share our commitment to diversity and inclusion, working together to create a more inclusive film industry.

We don't just charge you a fee and ignore you if you're rejected.
With us, rejected films have access to feedback, the one element most festivals ignore.
Instead of paying submission fees and getting nothing in return,
EVERYONE who submits to BUIFF will receive EITHER OF TWO benefits:
Either 1) your film is already competition caliber and becomes an Official Selection,
OR 2): You’ll receive a letter outlining exactly what prevents it from being accepted.
If you can make corrections, you can resubmit for FREE.
First-time filmmakers: when have you ever received a letter and had the festival explain WHY your film was rejected?
Much less let you resubmit for FREE, even the following season (In case you did not have enough time to fix it)

Biodiversity loss is one of the main threats we face today. Species are disappearing at levels never seen in human history. Climate change, habitat loss, pollution, overexploitation of resources, the appearance of invasive alien species are the main threats that many species face today.
The human being is the main cause of these threats, but the power to reverse these extinction processes is also in our hands. Conservation policies and measures have saved many species in recent years. Communicating and raising awareness about the main problems facing biodiversity is necessary in order to continue advancing. Many times the environmental problems that are treated from education, awareness and the work that is done in research centers do not reach the general public, for this reason using alternative media such as art or culture can be of great help to reach to more audiences.
Although the efforts to communicate the scientific results obtained in universities and research centers are evident, using the cinema as a communication vehicle is currently a little used bet.
At the "CINECO - International Film and Ecology Festival" we bring together scientists, filmmakers, conservation associations and the general public.
The main objective of the meeting is to highlight the role of cinema in communication and awareness of environmental problems. The specific objectives are:
1. Communicate and disseminate environmental problems to society through audiovisual pieces.
2. Establish a collaboration network between filmmakers and scientists for the development of future projects.
Only Argentine citizens or foreigners residing in the Argentine Republic may participate in the competition who comply with the terms and conditions of these regulations.

The African Film Festival focuses on films made by Africans and those in the African Diaspora. Additionally, we showcase films shot in Kisumu, Kenya – an exciting birth of local stories being told through the medium of film.
Our first festival was opened by the RT. Honourable Prime Minister of Uganda, Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda, and the Governor of Kisumu Kenya, his Excellence Professor Peter Nyong'o (also father of Oscar-winning actress, Lupita Nyong'o). We also welcomed the Ugandan High Commissioner to Canada, Kisumu's Minister of Arts, Culture and Tourism, and filmmakers from Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, the UK, Canada, and the US. Since then, we have continued to welcome filmmakers and film lovers from around the world!
In 2019, we were excited to open the festival with Bed of Thorns, Uganda's first movie made with an all-female crew, and to welcome Artist in Residence Giggs Kgonamotse Kgole, one of the Mail and Guardian’s Top 200 young South Africans, whose work “God Ke Mama” was the catalogue cover of the 10th Anniversary Young Masters Art Prize in London.
During COVID, we were forced to present scaled down versions of the festival, but we returned in full force in December, 2022 for our 5th edition of the festival, during which we held two open forums, multi-day workshops on production design and sales/distribution, three days of screenings and a gala awards event, and welcomed the Kenyan Film Commission, Kenyan Film Classification Board and the Kisumu Minister of Arts, Culture and Sport. In 2023 we welcomed Kenyan actor Charles Ouda, who came to present an award and speak with the kids who came to watch our world premiere of episodes 3 and 4 of Twende, in which he starred. Our guest of honour was her excellency, Kisumu First Lady Dorthy Nyong'o, who also happens to be the mother of Academy Award-winning actress Lupita Nyong'o.
All festival programmers are Africans. Given our focus on filmmakers, each submission is watched by at least two people. If they disagree, a third programmer will review the film. Then, the top scoring films are considered by the programming team as a whole. Our goal is to be as fair as possible, giving every submission a reasonable opportunity to be selected. With that said, in 2023, each film was watched by at least 5 programmers.
