Celebrating Short Films, Television and New Media.
Our mission is to support filmmakers!
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have chosen to hold our awards gala and viewing at a later time. We want to ensure that everyone who wishes to participate has the opportunity to feel safe to do so. Thus we have chosen to wait until such time as treatments and hopefully a cure has been discovered. We are not canceling the festival, just prolonging it choosing to error on the side of precaution and health safety.
New Voice Short Film Festival is a unique program offering opportunities to new filmmakers to share their passion with others in their field. With the popularity of the Short Film genre increasing every year, options for festival directors have grown by leaps and bounds as the number of talented and as yet unknown filmmakers increases.
We believe that if the artist has the passion and determination to create the film, the film deserves to be seen. But with most festivals focused on entertaining local audiences, the filmmaker often falls to secondary importance. With New Voice, every film entered is judged on its own merits by our panel of professional industry personnel, helping to encourage and celebrate new and emerging filmmakers being our primary goal.
What kind of media we accept:
New Voice Short Film Festival is a powerful venue for films, documentaries, new and experimental media, television pilot programs, animation, educational programs, remixes & mashups, movie trailers, music videos (that tell an actual story), and webisodes. Your project should action adventure, biography, comedy, drama, documentary, psychological, romance, and or thriller in genre.
We are seeking three specific categories:
- Super Shorts: Films not more than 10 minutes in length.
- Center Shorts: Films longer than 10 minutes but no more than 25 minutes in length.
- Mega Shorts: Films longer than 25 minutes but no more than 45 minutes in length.
Where our filmmakers are from:
New Voice Short Film Festival is designed specifically for non-professional, non-union related filmmakers, whether currently at a university or other educational facility, part of a collaborative artists group, or dreamers who are attempting to go it alone. If the filmmaker, writer, director, and/or producer are at least 18 years of age, you are welcome to submit your film project.
Benefits of Participating:
• Being accepted into a traditional film festival can be far more difficult than most might anticipate. Having had a film project accepted to a festival often gives the filmmaker far better credibility when attempting to submit to other festivals.
• Peer Review – our judges are filmmakers who understand the craft and what audiences want.
• Having your film reviewed with feedback respectfully provided helps refine your film making ability so that you can continue to grow as you pursue your dreams.
• Winners of the three categories as well as one Best of Show winner will have their films premiered for public viewing at our premier gala on Thursday March 25, 2021 at the Brookside Golf Club next to the world famous Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA.
*There will be plenty of opportunity to speak with our industry professional judges at the gala, as well as meet other filmmakers who chose to attend.
Notification:
Each submission received will be confirmed by Festhome and New Voice administrators via electronic mail.
After judging is completed, winners in all categories will be notified of their award and will be provided additional information such as links to winner’s laurels etc.
We we would like to invite you to submit your horror short film to be screened at our 3rd horror night “Obacht! (Watch Out!)” and if selected at our ALPINALE short film festival. It will take place on October 31 (Halloween) in the Alpine town of Bludenz in Vorarlberg/Austria and will also compete for our audience award.
The ALPINALE, now in its 35th year, is an internationally renowned short film festival. The annual festival takes place in Vorarlberg over five days in mid-August. This year, we had a record-breaking 900 submissions. 72 of these movies were chosen for the competition, and more than 1300 people attended our screenings.
Many of our team members are regular genre hounds, which is why we have decided to broaden our program with a Halloween horror extravaganza. With the town and region’s support, our plans are to establish it as a regular annual festival and we would be delighted if you were interested in submitting your short to our scream fest. By submitting your movie you are consenting to screen the film at our festival.

Our Mission
7th Art Independent International Film Festival is an international live screening monthly film festival with an annual gala event envisaged to push the boundaries of filmmaking. Our aim is to promote filmmakers with a unique vision by showcasing it to a large audience. Getting recognition is increasingly difficult for independent filmmakers in this world of the content boom, which is why our mission is to carefully consider and select a wide range of films and present them to the indie film-loving crowd. We are dedicated to the exhibition and preservation of independent films. We showcase the art and power of storytelling worldwide and gather communities to share diverse cultures, viewpoints, and conversation.
Who we are
7th Art Independent International Film Festival is envisaged by the multiple international award-winning filmmaker Venu Nair. It is the creative combination of great filmmakers, artists, local film lovers, friendships and talents from across the world that lead to the 7th Art Independent International Film Festival. The goal is to bring the diversity of films to the cultural heartland of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram.
The 7thArtIIFF Experience
Our mandate is to seek out the best in film, believing that you don't have to have a big budget to make a great movie. We’re a monthly festival that showcases feature films and documentaries across genres. Unlike other festivals, entries do not battle against each other. Instead, films will compete with themselves and are judged based on a high standard of merit and are scored accordingly.
The monthly live screenings take place at the end of each month at the University of Kerala Student’s Centre auditorium at Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala. Currently, all our screening events will remain postponed due to COVID 19 pandemic and will be scheduled for the first safe opportunity, once this situation is over.
Every month, the selected works will be screened and the winners will be awarded with digital laurel, certificate and trophy. The BEST OF THE BEST of every month from July 2020 to July 2021 will be automatically nominated for the prestigious GOLDEN CONCH AWARD. The winner shall be bestowed with the award at the annual gala event at Lenin Cinemas at the heart of Thiruvananthapuram city on Saturday 7th August 2021. All the official selections, nominees and the winners will be listed on our website permanently. All the winning films will receive a trophy, award, and certificate.
Cheongju International Short Film Festival presents movies that are touching, entertaining, and short but strong.
The program team of the 21th Cheongju International Short Film Festival is hosting the festival under the motto of 'Film Festival for the Audience, by the Audience, of the Audience'.
1. Organization
The Cheongju International Short Film Festival is organized by the Cheongju branch of the General Association of Korean Filmmakers and hosted by the Cheongju International Short Film Festival Executive Committee.
Discussions on the Cheongju International Short Film Festival began in 1999 when Kim Kyung-sik, the first chairman of the association, established the Chungbuk Film Council.
The official start of the Cheongju International Short Film Festival is the "Cheongju City Excellent Short Film Festival" held by Kim Kyung-sik, the first president of the Cheongju Film Artists Association, a division established in 2004.
At that time, the main programs were "Invited Screenings for Outstanding Short Films in Korea" and "Cheongju Youth Film Class" aimed at fostering future film talents.
Since then, the festival has been renamed the "Cheongju City Digital Short Film Festival" in 2006, attempting to make changes in line with the digital era. Then in 2013, director Eo Il-sun took office as the second president, renaming it as the "Cheongju International Short Film Festival," inviting foreign films to diversify the program.
The city of Cheongju declared "video culture city" with the launch of the "Cheongju Film Commission" in 2017.
2. Purpose
The Cheongju International Short Film Festival aims to promote the diversity of video culture and independent short film production by discovering and introducing excellent short films from around the world.

THE HUECC FESTIVAL is a film festival that seeks through itself a space for the construction of new community film schools. It was born from the Homonimo project carried out in 2018 TO MAKE A FILM SCHOOL, a space where different Latin American audiovisual groups came together to lay the foundations to create a film school in Solano/Quilmes.
Currently, this initial experience and through the festival could give shape to the ARROYO SCHOOL, which brings together 40 boys, girls and young people from the neighborhoods on one side of the Las Piedras stream.
Everything raised by this festival is intended to continue with the community film experience and the future construction of the first community film school in Argentina.
