Insólito Fantastic Film Festival is the only consolidated event in genre cinema (horror, fantasy, science fiction, exploitation, trash and similar) in Peru and is in its seventh edition. Since its creation, the festival has sought to vindicate unconventional ways of making films, including national and international proposals in its exhibitions and competitions, disseminating the best films that have been made worldwide on this subject.

The 53rd edition of the Sehsüchte International Student Film Festival, one of the biggest film festivals for young filmmakers in Europe, will take place from 25th April to 28th April 2024 in Potsdam. It offers up-and-coming filmmakers from all over the world a platform to present their works to a broad audience and come into contact with the industry. Founded in the 1970s as a showcase for young filmmakers in the GDR, Sehsüchte has established itself over the decades as an internationally important festival and has become an integral part of the Berlin and Brandenburg cultural landscape.
Sehsüchte sees itself as a place of encounter and creativity, as an event of cultural diversity and a celebration of cinema, today as well as tomorrow. The festival is planned, organized and implemented entirely by students of the Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF. The direct connection to the renowned film university enables a unique exchange between young talents, media practice and academia.

In its 53rd edition, Sehsüchte is dedicated to a new generation of filmmakers in a transitional film culture. In the midst of Potsdam, a city rich in film tradition, the festival serves as a platform to show curious and courageous works as well as to highlight the genuine desires, fears, and visions of up-and-coming filmmakers. At a time when not only the cultural sector but the entire reality of life is marked by disruption, we create a place of encounter where creativity is celebrated.
Our program offers local and international artists a screen, allows us to experience (un)known perspectives through a variety of cinematic-aesthetic forms of expression, and promotes discourse between underrepresented and established film regions.
With a festival campus centered in the "Schiffbauergasse", Sehsüchte opens up a space for networking and discussion between students and industry experts. We see ourselves as a young festival with a clear stance: only through an honest exchange at eye level can the industry's challenges be overcome, an awareness of ecological and social resources be created and, above all, an open culture of film be shaped. The festival is a social tool viewable and controlled. It is an annual event, managed in a friendly network in cities across the continent, which displays unpublished, experimental or out of the system, linking non-conventional spaces, creating a common grid and a shared mission, fruit of a collective intelligence and the freedom of speech.

This year the festival is not absent, we believe that it is more than ever necessary to maintain the premises for which the festival was created, understanding us as a counter-information tool, during these 14 years the dynamics of the festival has traveled unusual sites for what is understood as the official circuit of film festivals in conventional rooms for projections but in this way we have created walls, floors, cultural centers, neighborhoods, squares, streets, settlements, meeting spaces to see what is happening underneath the surface.

This experimental scene began to leave experiences that we were channeling in the conurbano, in the occupation and the promotion, in if in sharing, that nourished something that today is a few steps and that is one of the great objectives that has this edition 2024 .
we are already away from the commercial circuits or day-to-day broadcasting and we are looking for the construction of the cinema school in the Covi neighborhood of Solano, where we hold the film festival and believe that the TRECE will be a great kick for this experience that we support and we have been part since its inception.

The productions chosen, will be part of the retrospective that we will be projecting in a route that will unite different points of Argentina.
The film festival will become itinerant.
Here we see cinema, we talk about cinema, we make cinema. We experiment with the form and structure of the festival, always. We want to rotate the transparency of the impeccable narratives. We are self-management, we have great reasons to criticize from a clear political position our sociocultural context of audiovisual production. We seek to see that which is hidden beyond the superficial, without red carpets.
Exhibition of short films for schools to discover and share the Cinema collective atmosphere. We discover animated shorts designed for children and made with different animation techniques.
GENERAZIONE FUTURO : International Section of Fiction and Animation Shorts. The works with the presence of actors or relevant characters from 10 to 15 years old, have to be send in this Section.

Destruction or human distraction?
Leading in some areas and lagging behind in others, the issues relating to ecology, sustainability, and climate change are hotly debated in Switzerland, too.
For its ninth edition, OtherMovie seeks to investigate its main points, starting from the assumption – to be refuted during the festival – that few issues so intimately link us to the world as the production and disposal of waste. We will tackle concerns relating to environmental, social and economic sustainability. There will be the chance to understand how the issue is dealt with in other countries, whether there are alternative solutions that could also be interesting for our context and, conversely, which interventions and collaborations Switzerland implements towards other areas to tackle this problem.
And more: do the various foreign communities living in Switzerland have a different approach when it comes to the environment? Can sustainability become the Swiss value that brings everyone together?

After the great success of the latest edition, submissions to the eighth edition of FilmmakerDay are now open.
The event is taking place in October 2023 in the wonderful setting of Turin, a city that has become one of the undisputed centres of the art of cinema. FilmmakerDay summons many authors from every corner of the world, as well as a wide audience of cinema lovers.
A great number of high-quality films have taken part in FilmmakerDay. Among them: News Neighbors by Bayley, directly from Sundance Film Festival; A Gentle Night by Qiu Yang, winner of Cannes Palme d'Or; In the Hills by Hamid Ahmadi, an official selection at Toronto International Film Festival.
The ninth edition of FILMMAKER DAY is now organized by the Systemout Association and ArtInMovimento Association as an event whose intention is to give value to filmmakers’ creativity.
This festival is dedicated to short and feature films of any genre and runtime. There are no rules or limitations.
The ninth edition of Filmmaker Day is taking place in Turin, at the end of october 2023, at the prestigious " Cinema Baretti".
The event derives from the need of giving space and visibility to films coming from all over the world.
Apart from the Best Film, ArtInMovimento Magazine and Italia Che Cambia, two magazines that are both Media Partner of the event, will also give special attention to the most deserving films.

The X International Shorty Week 2023 Short Film Festival will take place early September in Santa Catalina´s Castle, Cadiz. There, the public will be able to attend the screening of the short films of different competitive sections and the awards ceremony.
15th edition of the International Film Festival for children and teenagers "AniFestROZAFA2024" October 8-12, 2024 in Shkodër, Albania.
The International Jury of the AniFestROZAFA2024 festival will be established in cooperation with the European Children's Film Association ECFA.
The main objectives of the festival organizers will be to stimulate films for children.
The evaluation of the artistic values will be done by an international jury and by a special jury consisting of 23 children aged 8-12 years.
Films to compete in the 14th edition of the Films to compete in the 15th edition of the International Film Festival for Children and Teenagers must have been produced after June 1, 2022.

The festival screens narrative and documentary feature and short films, music videos, as well as experimental and animation films, in competitive and non-competitive sections. This event is complemented with repertoire and special screenings. The 22nd Cine Las Americas International Film Festival (CLAIFF22) took place May 1st to 5th, 2019 in Austin, Texas.
