In 1998, the Benalmádena Cinematographic Youth Association (ACIBE) recovered the spirit of the defunct SICAB (Benalmádena International Author's Film Week, 1969-1989) to undertake the project of creating a film festival for the city. The result, after seventeen years of management, is the Benalmádena International Short Film and Alternative Film Festival (FICCAB), a meeting forum for lovers of quality cinema. More than four hundred short films are presented each year at a festival for all ages that unites the glamor of the stars to the best auteur, independent, alternative and unknown cinematographies, paying special attention to European ones.

Cinema Verde is a non-profit organization based in Gainesville, Florida, with the mission to provide environmental education from independent sources to international audiences through film, arts and community events.
Our primary focus is to present artistic and creative environmental films as a means to seek change on human-made challenges and disasters such as pollution, water scarcity, biodiversity loss, global warming, and environmental contamination.
The selection process of the Cinema Verde festival films is based on the authentic storytelling of independent filmmakers who either offer an artistic way of spreading awareness for nature and society or exploring and offering concrete solutions to one of the many environmental challenges we’re facing. The film curation is spearheaded by Trish Riley, long-time environmental journalist and author, and founding director of Cinema Verde.
We will hold our fourteenth annual festival February, 2023, in Florida. The annual film festival will be complemented by quarterly mini-festivals marketing the release of new films to our streaming platform, plus satellite screening events hosted all over the globe. Filmmakers are invited to participate and speak at our physical events, as well as in exclusive virtual interviews and roundtable talks on our streaming platform.
Cinema Verde as a new streaming platform provides us with continuous access to an environmental film+art database that speaks to our consciousness, and has been collected over 13 years of film festivals of Cinema Verde.
Awarded films will be added to the environmental film database for a minimum of 1 year, available to stream on cinemaverde.org for members on a subscription fee, in which filmmakers participate in a payout-per-stream model.
Bizitegi has been organizing the Homeless Film Festival in Bilbao since 2016, creating awareness-raising sessions on social inclusion through cinema and theatre.
The Bizitegi Team works for the incorporation into society of people at risk or in a situation of social exclusion in Bizkaia through intervention processes, aimed at improving their living conditions, and through these awareness-raising and denunciation actions that allow raising awareness in building a fairer society.
GIJÓN/XIXÓN INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (FICX) aims to showcase a wide and varied selection of auteur cinema currently being produced worldwide and especially focused on innovative films and emerging filmmakers. High quality, personal, young in its shape, edgy and independent cinema at a creative level. RIZOMA is a unique international festival that combines film, art, music, conferences and community engagement to build each edition around a central concept.
Like the rhizome itself, RIZOMA is interconnected, interdependent and non-hierarchical. RIZOMA values that the different branches of culture feed and inspire each other. The winner of this award will be invited to the Goldfinch studios for a one-to-one consultancy with First Flights and one of their executive producers. First Flights from the Goldfinch Studios will present this award at the New Renaissance Award Ceremony at the Courthouse Hotel Sunday 1 October. First Flights have just won a BAFTA with their short 'An Irish Goodbye,' also an Oscar nominee in the category of Best Live Action Short.

NEW RENAISSANCE LONDON 2023
2023 will be our eighth year in London, a city known for its diversity and innovation in the creative arts. For 3 days in September, we will screen around 100 outstanding films in the heart of London. The programme will include narrative shorts, features, documentaries, animations, dance and music videos, a NETWORKING party and AWARDS CEREMONY.
Running alongside the festival will be a SCREENWRITING COMPETITION, a series of MASTERCLASSES by film industry experts, a filmmaker's PANEL DISCUSSION, Filmmaker Q&A's, and other networking opportunities.
EMERGING TALENT AWARDS
Apart from a high number of UK and International films, NRFF London has a category for EMERGING TALENT (talented Gen Z, debut or early stage filmmakers embarking on their careers in the film industry). TUC_11 will be held in a very important location for the Turin “Cinema” universe, which is located in the heart of the city, at the marvelous Cinema Baretti.
Cash prizes are awarded for the best feature film, best short film and best documentary. Also, special awards will be assigned to: best director, best actor, best actress, best cinematographer, best editor and best sound designer.
