Human Rights Defense will, quite possibly, always be an unfinished struggle. Especially relevant in troubled times, its promotion must be pictured as an unbreakable commitment of the modern men and women and of the societies we aspire to build. Culture will always be its main weapon, as an essential tool to the creation of dialogues and bridges that can connect us to others. Also, it will always be a process of imagination and ambition for a US as diverse as humanity, as collective as nature. If no Man is (or should be) an isolated island, how can individuals and communities preserve their identity in a peaceful, constructive and enriching relationship with their surroundings? How can we make diversity our collective strength and not its opposite? How can each man and woman be able to leave their “islands” and connect with each other, without ceasing to be who they are? How can we, today, imagine and act upon the construction of a collective future where everyone truly has a place?

It is in response to these questions that NOMA AZORES - International Human Rights Film Festival emerges. A space where cinema serves as a meeting point for awareness, knowledge and action. NOMA AZORES is organized by the City Council of Ponta Delgada and produced by Associação Cultural - Silêncio Sonoro.

Punta del Este, Uruguay

This international meeting, already a classic in Punta del Este, has some peculiarities that distinguish it from other Jewish Film Festivals in the world, due to the fact that it takes place in such a special seaside resort as Punta del Este, a meeting point where communities from different countries gather annually in Uruguay.

The Punta del Este Jewish Film Festival (Festival Internacional de Cine Judío de Uruguay, FICJU®) was born in 2003, with the purpose of generating a cultural, educational, didactic and illustrative space, oriented to promote the knowledge of the history of the Jewish people and its diverse cultures and traditions, thus seeking to strengthen our identity and integration through art.

Fiction films and documentaries with different perspectives of the Jewish theme are shown, spaces are organized for the analysis and reflection of the history, customs and cultures of our people around the world, and the memory of the Shoa (Holocaust) is constantly maintained.

We discover new aspects of our heritage and identity, as well as learn about the current conditions of the different Jewish communities around the world, fostering the integration of all Jewish people through the knowledge of our shared essence.

Thanks to the above, the Punta del Este Jewish Film Festival becomes a focus of tourist attraction, with an average of 2,500 attendees.

Short Outline:
nineteen successful years of the ‘International Low and No Budget Short film-sharing Festival’ has inspired us to continue despite the disheartening of the cultural institutions.
Budgets for culture and the arts are being cut or axed. However, humour is when, in the face of adversity, you can still laugh! This year, we will defy commercialism and
capitalism and raise up our ‘Low and No Budget Film Festival’ with the opening in Stuttgart, Heilbronn, Schwäbisch Gmünd and Mainz. Moreover, we will continue to
offer the ever increasingly popular internet forums, which publishes the un-filtered short films, as an antidote [AA antithesis, counter platform]. We will be showing the s
ubmitted films on the big screen to the interested public who can discuss and talk together before, during and after the films. We will be showing the Film Festival Programme at selected cinemas. The festival is a non-profit endeavour and a large part of the entrance tickets will remain with the cinema operators to cover their costs.

We will show all short films under 15 minutes and we look forward to receiving new productions as much as older short films or even youthful follies or transgressions!
The audience itself decides at the open screenings in April and May which films will be included and shown in the July Festival Programme. All film makers,
whose film is shown, will receive the Film Festival OSCAR 2022 programme brochures.

Internet: www.film-sharing.net
History:
The annual Film Festival was established in Vienna in 2003. Since then it turned into an annual event and has expanded mostly in Germany.

The main venues are now Stuttgart, Heilbronn and Mainz and now Schwäbisch Gmünd and Sigmaringen. All films are collected and complied and then shown at these locations. Film makers, who fall loosely under the ‘independent film makers’ category, from throughout the world, submit their short films.
Annually, we receive about 1,000 films which we then sort and compile into thematic genres.

Point of Special Attention:
The Film Festival does not award any material or monetary prizes, rather it proudly offers the broad public and large audience. A prominent feature is the so-called
‘open screenings’ that present the full and rich character of the films including those that that receive less public attention. Over 200 people come together in both
cultural centres and restaurants to rate the submitted films from over 50 countries.
We will show all short films under 15 minutes and we look forward to receiving new productions as much as older short films or even youthful follies or transgressions!
The audience itself decides at the open screenings in April and May which films will be included and shown in the July Festival Programme.

All film makers, whose film is shown, will receive the Film Festival OSCAR 2024, programme brochures .

RUSSIAN FILM FESTIVAL

Moscow, Russia

The phenomenon of Russian civilization, immeasurable by the "common yardstick", by the end of the first quarter of the 21st century regains its relevance - both in the world and in Russia.

The word "Russian" in the understanding of the organizers of the film festival does not define nationality, but civilizational and ideological belonging - to the multinational Russian world.

A Russian person differs from a "Western" person. A Russian person can commit acts illogical and "unprofitable" - from the point of view of representatives of Western civilization: to the detriment of himself, but in the name of justice. After all, for a Russian person - if in good conscience and fairness, then this is both logical and beneficial.

Now, when the whole world is faced with global challenges - technological, social, economic, spiritual and ideological - we are again trying to find a source of strength in those intangible values that have given and still give the Russian world an advantage over the centuries.

Experience of holding the Russian Film Festival in 2017-2020. discovered a real interest of filmmakers from the regions of Russia and from other countries in comprehending the inexhaustible theme of the "mysterious Russian soul". This is especially true for young representatives of auteur cinema in Russia, for whom the Russian Film Festival has become a meeting place both with colleagues and with grateful moviegoers.

The Russian Film Festival is becoming that public creative space where there is a lively process of forming a community of like-minded people who consciously reflect in their work the spiritual and moral values of Russian civilization.

Szczecin Film Festival is a film event, a forum for meetings and cooperation in the field of film, directly on the Polish-German borderland. The festival is organized by the Polish OFFicyna Association, located at 3-4 Lenartowicza Street in Szczecin (71-445), Poland. The festival program is carried out in partnership with a Polish-German network of organizers, and presented in Szczecin/Poland.

The main goal of the European Competition for documentary films at Szczecin Film Festival '21 is to seek out films that broaden the concept of documentary cinema and break its stereotypical image. Each year, the competition presents several dozen carefully selected titles. The chosen documentary films are a cross-section of works that stand out against the background of tired formulae and seemingly played-out topics. Creators known by few and film veterans alike will have a chance to confront their productions with the opinions of the jury and the festival audience. Thanks to the availability of technology and the ease with which people can communicate globally, we can enjoy an innovative and exciting cinema that abolishes our prior perception of a documentary film and broadens our horizons.

The films presented at the festival are selected by a Polish-German Selection Team. Its members search for productions that cross the formal boundaries and exhibit an unconventional approach to reality – productions that are documentary trailblazers. Premieres are considered especially significant. Awards are given by an international jury, which is assembled by the organizers. Apart from film screenings, a relevant and characteristic part of the European Competition are discussions with the presented films' creators.

Immagina, Associazione Culturale, organizes the 22nd edition of the MonFilmFest.

The MISSION: the search for new stories and new talents in cinema through "a game" that defines and determines "a way of producing".

The CHARACTERIZATION: the MONFILMFEST has maintained its root "games of cinema without borders" in the Monferrato region. Without any obligation on regulations, we give guidelines consistent with our past, and WE START FROM THE IDEA OF TELLING from the Monferrato, THE PLANET, in its multiple physical, anthropic, political, and economic aspects with its evident environmental criticalities and its resistant beauties.

The CINEMA GAMES are the tool to fulfill our mission:

1. SEVEN DAYS FOR A FILM
It is a game that tests the ability to produce a film in Seven Days by designing the story and the production plan up to its first screening to the public.

2. SHOWCASE
Showcase presents a program of films to be screened during the festival week after A RESEARCH, A REDISCOVERY of ignored or forgotten films, produced after January 1, 2022.

The works have no constraints on genre, type, or duration. Showcase is beyond genres for a total vision of the international cinematic panorama. The FESTHOME platform will host the works and allow worldwide enjoyment of the films after the author's registration on the dedicated page of the MonFilmFest.

3. CHAT SI GIRA! is the new game of the MonFilmFest dedicated to the pre-production of a film written four-handed with Artificial Intelligence. The project involves screenwriters and AI developers working together to create an original screenplay.

The first step will be to write in Italian, using the suggestions offered by Artificial Intelligence, the synopsis, the subject, and the treatment or the screenplay of a short film, all in Seven Days.

All authors who can propose their work in Italian can participate.
