The Norwich Film Festival was recently chosen by The Metro as one of "the top UK film festivals you need to know about", and in 2017 became a BIFA (British Independent Film Awards) qualifying short film festival.
We have been running since 2009 and over the years we have hosted over 75 events and screened over 500 films to the public.
The Norwich Film Festival has an amazing array of celebrity patrons including Stephen Fry, Tim McInnerny, Olivia Colman, Julian Jarrold, Brian Cox & John Collee. We also work hard to recruit industry judges (see below) who are all eager to watch our nominated films.
Our 2018 film judges will only view the NOMINATED Films selected and the Norwich Film Festival will then allocate which film categories that judges will watch.

El Asian Summer Film Festival quiere presentar la cultura asiática a través de la cinematografía popular producida en los países del continente.
El Festival tiene varias categorías, como una sección competitiva, retrospectivas, proyecciones para niños y noches temáticas. El año pasado, se mostraron 40 títulos de China, Hong Kong, Tailandia, Corea del Sur, Japón e India, algunos de ellos estrenos de festivales mundiales e internacionales, estrenos de festivales europeos o estrenos de festivales españoles. Las 18 películas programadas en la sección oficial compitieron por el Premio del Jurado, el Premio Lucky Cat, otorgado por el público a la mejor película de la competición y el Critics' Choice Award.

La Categoría Nuevo León no se abre como una categoría aparte, pero la inscripción es indirecta a través de las categorías mexicanas —ver más en el Reglamento en nuestro sitio web.
Las fechas de inscripción van a partir de la publicación de la presente convocatoria, hasta el cierre de la misma, el día 7 de julio del 2024, a las 11:59 p.m. (GMT-6) sin ninguna posibilidad de prórroga. Se recibirán trabajos de largometraje (a partir de los 60 minutos en adelante) y cortometraje (entre 1 y menos de 30 minutos de duración) a través de la plataforma de Festhome exclusivamente.
A los participantes seleccionados se les comunicará vía correo electrónico durante la primera o segunda semana de agosto y se les hará saber la continuidad del proceso. La selección del Comité es inapelable. Al inscribirse, todos los participantes que sean seleccionados se comprometen a mandar todos los materiales requeridos en tiempo y forma, tal como se detalla en el Reglamento y como se les pedirá desde su notificación hasta la clausura del ficmonterrey. La inscripción de cualquier material a la presente convocatoria confirma la aceptación de la misma y de las reglas adjuntas. El ficmonterrey está una búsqueda constante de narrativas humanas que apuestan por miradas que se desprenden de un mundo en constante movimiento y transformación, en interconexión e innovación para su selección. Ars Independent Festival 2019 will be the 9th multimedia festival of film, animation, video games and music videos. The upcoming edition will take place in Katowice, between the 24th and 29th of September 2019.
The festival is searching for what’s cool in young, debuting, contemporary audio-visual culture. It’s not afraid to watch videos with 27 views on YouTube, it’s missing the “least popular” sorting option on itch.io and considers Festival Scope Pro decidedly “too mainstream”.
The heart of the festival are four international competitions, in which the audience decides about the awarding of prizes. The Black Horse of Film (feature films from all over the world) and the Black Horse of Animation (short features) present the cinematographic debuts by directors from the entire world, often as their Polish premieres. The Black Horse of Video Games and the Black Horse of Music Video are devoted to new games and music videos.
Additionally, every year festivalgoers are treated to: screenings of films, animations and music videos, video game exhibitions, virtual reality and new technologies, discussion panels and Q&As with artists, concerts, live acts and musical afterparties.

Conscious Cartoons is a non-profit competitive international animation festival, and the first of its kind solely focused on short works (15 min. or less) addressing social issues. These issues can be personal, local, national, global or historical in scope but should reflect broader humanistic themes such as peace, justice, love, responsibility, consciousness, and the joy and pain of the human condition. El Festival de Cine de Montaña Ulsan Ulju (UMFF) es el primer festival internacional de cine de montaña de Corea del Sur, dedicado a presentar y promover películas y cultura relacionadas con las montañas, la aventura, la exploración, la naturaleza y el medio ambiente. El festival también ofrece una oportunidad para que cineastas y alpinistas se reúnan e intercambien ideas a través de seminarios, eventos, proyecciones y reuniones sociales.
La novena edición del UMFF se celebrará en Ulsan y Ulju (Corea del Sur) en otoño de 2024.
La 16ª edición anual del Festival de Cine SiciliAmbiente se celebrará del 15 al 20 de julio de 2024.
El objetivo del Festival de Cine SiciliAmbiente es promover el cine independiente y el cine documental, y fomentar el intercambio creativo y la creación de redes entre los directores.
Este festival está organizado y patrocinado por Demetra Produzioni SAS y la Asociación Cultural CANTIERE 7, y es posible gracias a socios y patrocinadores públicos y privados que comparten los mismos principios éticos del Festival.
Podrán participar películas que aborden los siguientes temas: medio ambiente, antropología, derechos humanos, biodiversidad, guerra, integración, derechos civiles, desarrollo sostenible y la relación entre el hombre y el medio ambiente.

Requisitos de Inscripción
Podrán presentarse al proceso de selección documentales (31 minutos o más), largometrajes (70 minutos o más), cortometrajes y películas de animación (31 minutos o menos) de cualquier nacionalidad, siempre que se hayan completado después del 1 de enero de 2023.
Si se selecciona, el formato de proyección de la película puede ser:
· DCP sin cifrar
· DVD Blu-ray
· Archivo ProRes de Apple
· Archivo H264
Otros formatos deben ser aprobados por la dirección del festival. Las tarifas de proyección no se pueden solicitar ni se pagarán por los concursos.
Las películas en cualquier idioma que no sea el italiano deben estar subtituladas en inglés o italiano y, si son seleccionadas para la fase final de la competición, deben enviarse al festival con los materiales de presentación solicitados y la lista de diálogos en inglés.
Las películas que se presentarán en las secciones de cortometrajes y películas de animación deben tener una duración inferior a 31 minutos o quedarán excluidas.
Los representantes de las películas presentadas al concurso no pueden solicitar tasas de proyección.
El Festival puede optar por invitar a las películas seleccionadas al concurso.
Algunas de las películas no seleccionadas para los concursos de cortometrajes y películas de animación pueden ser seleccionadas para una sección no competitiva.
With twenty-two years of existence, (the first edition was in 1997) AVANCA Film Festival was awarded first place in 2011 contest of the support film festivals sponsored by ICA / Ministry of Culture.
An additional thematic programming has happened over all these years, giving space to screening of significant works of contemporary cinema appropriately framed in concerns and / or well-defined objectives.
The AVANCA is known as a space for workshops led by personalities of world cinema, and being more than a "master class", has allowed a unique cinema practice. Every year we have always 6 or 7 workshops, bringing together participants from all over Europe. The media have written that this is the largest European area of professional workshops in the field of cinema.
AVANCA is the only festival that congregates a Cinema International Competition, works from the television area, video and new supports of multimedia, with a special concern of exhibit the best world productions done in each category.
Since the first edition, the festival only accepts unprecedented films in Portugal.
The World Premiere competition is unique in our country and was only possible because Avanca became a passage point of unpublished authors and movies with great quality. Films that have their world premiere in the festival, independently of the submitted category, are also participating in the World Premiere Competition.
AVANCA is the Portuguese festival with the highest percentage of worldwide unpublished movies that find here their first showing.
In 2020 Edition, Avanca will bring for the first time the VR Competition, where films in virtual reality 360°, narrative or experimental (but with no interactivity) are allowed.
Since 2010, we have organized the international film conference AVANCA | CINEMA, becoming the most important conference in the field of cinema in the Iberian Peninsula. This conference brings together speakers and participants from around the world.
Thematic exhibitions, editions of books, bibliographic presentations and various projects have marked these last 10 years of AVANCA with the quality that compels the festival and the participants obviously require.

All filmmakers who's work is being shown will 3 tickets for the screening of their own film.
Distributors, producers and press from all over the world will be on hand to view the films screened and there will be the chance to network with them at the festival too. Many of the industry’s top companies and film schools will also be in attendance offering advice on education and career opportunities.
Other events and networking opportunities will be announced closer to the date. These will include seminars, Q&As, conventions and memorabilia expos.
There will be a high calibre panel of special guest judges, from various areas of the industry, who will review the nominees’ entries and select the winners at the festival’s closing event. The award ceremony will be held at a high-profile venue in the city and be an open ticket event.
