The Fine Shortfilm Festival is a non-competitive shortfilm event, hosted in São Paulo, addressed to the works of the new generations of Brazilian filmmakers.

The 4th edition of the PIFF HORROR Festival will take place in the city of Paraná on October 31, 2025.
The Paraná Festival headquarters is located at the following address: Asociación Civil B. HORROR PIFF is partly the PARANA INTERNATIONAL INDEPENDENT FILM FESTIVAL, which is equally integrated by the Transmedia Argentina Group and the CICVE (Center for Research in Experimental Film and Video Art), both part of the "Pedro Lemebel Library" Civil Association. The Paraná Festival is organized by its director, Esteban Amatti.
The Paraná Festival is recognized by the "International Center for Experimental Film and Video Art" in the "competitive film festivals" category.
The Paraná Festival aims to make a positive contribution to the development of culture and the film industry.
All films presented at the 4th edition of HORROR PIFF will be chosen by its selection committee, headed by the Festival management and advised by a network of international delegates, composed of professionals, specialists in the world of cinema and film festivals. This committee will be called the "International Film Classification Committee."
All films selected for the 4th edition will receive a certificate of participation from the Paraná Festival management.

The Chicharrón Film Festival, held in Chiclana de la Frontera (Cádiz, Spain), celebrates its fifth edition from November 20 to 29, 2025, continuing its commitment to emerging talent and bold storytelling in short film format.
With a total prize of €2,600 and several special mentions, the festival aims to highlight excellence in key cinematic disciplines such as directing, acting, cinematography, scriptwriting, and production.
The call is open to short films of any genre or theme, offering an inclusive platform for both new voices and established filmmakers. The program values diversity and innovation, showcasing a wide range of creative perspectives.
The Official Selection Gala will take place on November 28, featuring a curated screening of standout shorts in a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere.
All submissions will be reviewed by a professional and multidisciplinary jury, ensuring a transparent and high-standard evaluation process.

From November 20 to 29, 2025, short films take center stage in Chiclana. The Chicharrón Film Festival continues to grow as a key meeting point for those who believe in the power of storytelling through cinema.
The Wild Cinema presents a selection of films in which nature, adventure, and sustainability will be the protagonists.
The films will be projected in a natural environment, with the stars as a ceiling and the trees as seatmates. A different cinematographic evening, in the community, outdoors, and with all the advantages of a total festival like The Wild.
What is the Festival National du Film Scolaire ?
The Festival National du Film Scolaire is the first national cultural and educational event to focus on cinematographic creation in schools. The aim is to develop image education in schools and encourage student creativity through a unifying, motivating, high-quality event.

Nahal international student short film festival will be holding its 21st annual festival and is willing to receive films from all around the world.
Founded by the students, its biggest purpose is providing a space for students to screen their artwork to an international audience and prove their talents to the world, as it also desires to screen films from international students to form a worldwide connection between Iran and other countries.
Nahal goes on embracing talented filmmakers who recognize cinema as an art rather than an industry.
Nahal is proud to be a road for the students to not only make their works universal, but also ease their way into the main body of cinema and prepare them for the ups and downs of the future. It is also a safe place for the young mind to pour their thoughts in and present unprecedented works and ideas.
Nahal has become the most credible and known festival in the middle east and intends to expand its borders as to form an even bigger circle of connection.
History
Nahal Film Festival has its origins in 2002 when the students of Tehran University of art found their films rejected in a newly born festival called " Tehran university of art general festival", on a proposal of an independent film festival for students and with the support of Mohsen Hashemi the Ph.D., set up a national short film festival.
The first festival was planned for 2003 and was directed by Mohammad Haddadi hosting eleven films.
As the years gone by Its quality grew greater and now after twenty years, Nahal has become an international festival with numerous categories and sections.
Nahal 21
The Benin City Film Festival was launched in November 2018, as a new entity that offers a platform encouraging and promoting the works of local (community based) as well as National, and International emerging filmmakers. It is a cost friendly platform for showcasing these works in an environment where they have access to experienced industry professionals. BCFF is the only independent film festival in Edo State, and the only film festival that takes place in Benin City.
BCFF screens premieres of international and national feature films, short films and documentaries on social issues. This year edition, with the theme CREATIVE INDUSTRY BEYOUND THE PANDEMIC is scheduled to take place at Film House Cinema, Benin City.
At least 50% of our festival schedule is dedicated to foreign films, which broadens the film culture experience to all who attend the screenings in Benin City during the festivals duration.
The Benin City Film Festival is a team of people who work effortlessly to deliver a quality service to emerging filmmakers. We will give festival contributors access to some of the Industries most prolific names, both nationally and internationally.
Objectives
The primary objectives of the Festival are to provide a resourceful platform:
1. Where the business and craft of Nigerian films are enhanced and marketed to the film content consuming world by attracting quality film resource persons, buyers and critics from all over Nigeria and around the world to BCFF events every year.
2. for viewing some of the best of feature films, documentaries, shorts, and experimental projects for the entertainment and instructions of attendees and participants at the BCFF annually.
To this end, BCFF is committed to being:
A. A place for dialogues, healthy discussions and trainings to film business and film craft professionals and amateurs in and around the world by ensuring that BCFF is attractive to international film and motion picture contents directors to help enrich festival and participants through insights from their works and about the art of filmmaking
B. A machinery for exposing the ancient City of Benin in particular and the entire Edo State in general to a sustainable long term to a long term patronage of its vast tourism realities and potential to resourceful global creative business and craft audiences.
Finally BCFF is geared towards encouraging co-production relationships in films, TV shows, Documentaries and any other rewarding motion picture content between local players.

Brasil es reconocido internacionalmente por su rica producción artística y cultural. En este contexto, la 14ª Muestra de Cine Latinoamericano de Canoa Quebrada, conocida como "CURTA CANOA", tiene como objetivo promover la accesibilidad al universo audiovisual, difundir la cultura y destacar el trabajo de talentosos artistas brasileños y latinoamericanos. A través de un programa diverso y de alta calidad, el festival ofrece una experiencia enriquecedora tanto para la comunidad local como para los turistas, y lo mejor de todo: completamente gratis.
El objetivo principal de este proyecto es resaltar la importancia y resaltar la realización de la 14ª edición del festival Curta Canoa, que tendrá lugar en Praia de Canoa Quebrada (Aracati - CE), del 20 al 25 de noviembre de 2023. promover una exhibición competitiva de películas y cortometrajes nacionales y latinos, además de mostrar largometrajes invitados. Además, el evento también incluye seminarios, conferencias, espectáculos musicales y acciones que abordan temas cruciales, como el medio ambiente, la educación y los movimientos sociales. Un aspecto fundamental es la inclusión de la comunidad en el proceso de organización y ejecución del festival, convirtiéndolo en un fiel reflejo de la participación e implicación local.
El festival Curta Canoa promueve un intercambio cultural entre realizadores y espectadores, durante seis días de intensa programación. Con talleres, seminarios y conferencias, el evento capacita a estudiantes de escuelas públicas y fortalece los centros de cine de Aracati. El principal objetivo es ampliar el acceso a la formación audiovisual y contribuir al desarrollo cultural de la región.
Durante el Festival contamos con la participación de reconocidos profesores de cursos audiovisuales tanto en la capital de Ceará como en otros estados. Están invitados a impartir talleres, seminarios y conferencias complementarias, con actividades prácticas que complementan los contenidos tratados en el aula. Además, valoramos las raíces culturales de la región, ofreciendo espacios para presentaciones de grupos y artistas locales. Como es tradición, también rendimos homenaje a personalidades relevantes de la cultura brasileña.
Brasil tiene un circuito de festivales audiovisuales reconocido mundialmente, compuesto por eventos de diferentes tamaños, historias, conceptos y singularidades. Estos festivales tienen valor e importancia significativos, llevando la riqueza creativa del audiovisual brasileño a todo el país, superando las limitaciones del circuito comercial presente en apenas el 8% de los municipios del territorio nacional. En Ceará, después de 14 años de existencia, el Festival Curta Canoa ha alcanzado notable protagonismo y relevancia en el escenario audiovisual. El festival recibió más de 7.800 inscripciones de cortometrajes hasta 2021 y realizó 69 talleres en el municipio de Aracati. Nos hemos convertido en parte indispensable del calendario cultural del estado y, por qué no decirlo, de Brasil. Cada año, movilizamos a los productores que deseen exhibir su trabajo en exposiciones competitivas y participar de las capacitaciones técnicas que se ofrecen durante el programa.
El proyecto hace una importante contribución social a la comunidad de Praia de Canoa Quebrada. Los residentes están cada vez más involucrados, lo que ha impulsado el desarrollo local. El proyecto ofrece oportunidades para que adolescentes, jóvenes y niños de escasos recursos aprendan cine y se inserten en el mercado cultural, a través de la formación continua en el centro de cine y animación. La realización del Festival de Cine Latinoamericano de Canoa Quebrada, conocido como Curta Canoa, tiene una relevancia significativa para el desarrollo del audiovisual en Ceará y Brasil. Moviliza una amplia red de profesionales y productores, generando beneficios sociales para la población local y promocionando la región y los municipios vecinos en los medios internacionales. El festival despierta el interés del público por las exposiciones y destaca el potencial del mercado audiovisual local, nacional e internacional.

Argia Fundazioa is an entity that supports people with a diagnosis of mental illness to improve their quality of life and the image that society has of this group.
dokuMentala 2025 was born in 2019 to show, through the language of cinema, the transforming power of support between people.

The Iridescent Guadix International Film Festival. Was created with the aim of promoting diversity, inclusion, and visibility through film.
From the city of Guadix, gateway to the Granada Geopark, this event will offer a space for exhibition, training, and dialogue around queer and feminist cinema, highlighting national and international works that address issues of sexual diversity, gender identity, and human rights. It will also serve as a platform for new talent, promoting the production of independent and arthouse films from an intersectional perspective that includes the contributions of feminism as a tool for social transformation.
With this initiative, MagaZinema Cineclub and the Arco Iris Association seek to consolidate a space for resistance, creativity, and the celebration of diversity through the seventh art, integrating the principles of feminism as a driver of social, economic, and cultural change.

FanCineQueer, the International LGBTI Film Festival of Extremadura, celebrates this year its 28th edition between the 7th and the 16th of November launching its traditional Short Films Call with the purpose of recognising, visibilising and fostering the production and dissemination of recent or unreleased LGBTI works.
Ruido Interno, performing and visual arts, organizes the 4th Rural Film and Short Film Festival, which will be held in the town of Espinama, in the Camaleño Valley, Cantabria, from August 29 to September 31, 2025.
The competitive section is announced according to the following rules:
Three categories are established:
. Fiction and animation short film section.
. Documentary section.
. Video art and other languages section (virtual reality, 360 videos, etc.).
Submissions may not exceed 30 minutes.
Each author may submit one entry in only one category.
All entries must refer to at least 70% of the rural and natural environment, environmental issues, and environmental awareness and conservation in their storytelling. Audiovisual productions that showcase or reflect on social, cultural, and anthropological aspects of the rural world will be considered.
All works produced after January 1, 2022, may be submitted. Any individual or group of individuals directly associated with the organization or sponsors are excluded. Likewise, productions with advertising or tourism content may not be submitted.
There are no language restrictions for submissions; Spanish subtitles are an essential requirement, whenever applicable.
