In the early days of cinema, with the advent of the cinematograph, the avant-garde artists found a new medium of expression, called seventh art, which was soon adopted by the major studios.
Thus, the space occupied by the Santander International Film Festival — Picknic Film Festival, is a place where films of reduced visibility and distribution, but selected for prestigious film festivals, with the approval of the press, have the possibility to be screened.
For all Filmmakers.
1 will be awarded a winner in each category, according to the votes of the expert jury.
2 If any category does not reach the minimum three) shown, no award for that category.
The festival's mission is promoting the importance of film music and its composers, as well as film sound. The festival's goals are to originate and encourage discussions, connecting people, advising, educating young composers, but also other people, through discussion panels, seminars, film market and media publishing; we tend to start and maintain creative and constructive discussions about that indelible link between film and music.
