The International Horror and Fantasy Film Week of La Costa del Sol is a film festival of the horror and fantasy genre that is held annually. The first edition was held from September 11 to 16, 2000. On that occasion,
the winning film of the Golden Unicorn was The Ring, which was a blockbuster in our country. The edition paid tribute to the British actress Caroline Muro, a fetish actress of horror films, with the screening of the film ‘The howl of the devil’, directed by Paul Naschy, and a ‘tribute to ghosterrorific Cinema’ was made with
the screening of films by Narciso Ibáñez Serrador (La residencia, ¿Quién puede matar a un niño?), Jesús Franco (Gritos en la noche, El Conde Drácula). To this day, editions keep being added, this year the XXV
edition of the Festival is celebrated. This year the short film section is reinvented, being coordinated by Miguel Carrillo.
DIGO – I International Film Festival on Gender and Sexual Diversity of Goiás, is the first film festival in the heart of Brazil to address issues such as Diversity, Gender and Sexuality, by showcasing contemporary audiovisual work and urging historical reviews. Our main goal is to raise awareness on this topic, in order to promote inclusion, social change and respect for others. What is Womanimation!? As the name implies, it's a festival showcasing acclaimed animated films created by women from around the world.
From satire to drama, from the everyday to the surreal - in styles from traditional 2-d to stop-motion to computer animation - the festival features something for every taste.
The F.I.C.Y (International Film Festival of Yopal) is an event that will take place from October 13th to 16th, 2023 in the city of Yopal, located in the department of Casanare, Colombia. The main objective of this festival is to promote regional, national, and international film production and to strengthen the region as a center for the seventh art.
The festival aims to foster circular economy around audiovisual production, generating greater employment opportunities and economic development in the region. Additionally, the F.I.C.Y proposes new expressions of culture and folklore in the region, through the presentation of films that address themes related to identity and cultural diversity of the region.

The Punta del Este Jewish Film Festival (Festival Internacional de Cine Judío de Uruguay, FICJU®) was born in 2003, with the purpose of generating a cultural, educational, didactic and illustrative space, oriented to promote the knowledge of the history of the Jewish people and its diverse cultures and traditions, thus seeking to strengthen our identity and integration through art.

LATINUY, Uruguay's International Latin Film Festival, showcases the most recent and innovative films (short and long feature films, fiction and documentaries) made in Iberoamerica. LatinUy, a classic meeting point for cultural exchange between filmmakers and movie enthusiasts, awards several prizes, both for short and feature films in competition, both from the jury and the audience.
The California International Children’s Film Festival’s provides a showcase platform for entertaining, educational and inspiring children based projects from around the world.
The CICFF is a biannual event that focuses on bringing together talented filmmakers of all ages that want to share their diverse and compelling stories about and/or by children. We curate and present the best independent and international cinema projects so our audiences and filmmakers will have a delightfully worthwhile screening and networking experience. All projects must have one of the following criteria to be eligible for submission: Project must be based around children, have a child as one of the lead protagonist or must have a child in one of the main behind the scenes production positions (Producer, Director, writer, etc...).
There will be nine categories of entry including, Narrative short, Narrative Feature, Documentary Short, Documentary Feature, Student, Animation, Music Video, Experimental, and scripts. All genres of fiction and non-fiction are accepted. There will also be nine awards up for grabs: Audience Award, Best Feature Film, Best Short Film, Best Documentary, Best Student Film, Best Music Video, Best Animation, Best Experimental and Best Script.
