Animacción is an international festival of animated short films, aimed to bring attention to the artistic potential of a whole new generation of animators.
Organized by the cultural association "Ánimas Anónimas", the festival returns this year for its 7th edition.
The call arises from our desire to increase the cultural offer of the city of A Coruña and its region, offering a sample of an artistic discipline with great creative potential, known worldwide, but little spread (me suena menos científico que disseminated xD) and supported locally.
The selected short films will be screened from December 12th to 18th, in the metropolitan area of A Coruña. The public attending these screenings will proclaim the winning piece with their votes. There will be also an award for the best children's short film, chosen by the students of several schools in A Coruña and the area.
Besides the screenings, we will schedule different talks and activities, for all audiences, related to the world of animation, so we can create a bridge between artists of this discipline and the public.

ReAnimania International Animation Film Festival of Yerevan was founded by cartoonist, painter and animator Vrej Kassouny in 2008.
Armenia’s history in animation had begun 70 years prior, with the release of the first Armenian film, Lev Atamanov’s (né Levon Atamanyan) The Dog and the Cat in 1938.
In striving to honor the craft in both spirit and in name, the Festival has since reintroduced the art of animated filmmaking to Armenian audiences.
The festival includes a selection of highly anticipated non-commercial features and shorts with 15 in-competition and non-competition programs and a Market Forum for Animation Professionals (MARANI). The festival also offers an array of practical workshops, seminars, master classes and lectures presented by a host of global industry talent.
The festival has become a platform for development and promotion even beyond Armenia’s borders. As the largest event in the South Caucasus (and the most unique within its class), ReAnimania is playing an integral role in bridging east and west. It is becoming one of the most important emerging festivals, receiving over a thousand film submissions and attracting tens of thousands from around the world. In its 8th edition, ReAnimania is already becoming one of the most important young animation film festivals from all over the world, welcoming competitors, visitors and animation lovers from more than 75 countries.

The 14th Year will include new additions and competitions! The International Horror Hotel Film Festival and Convention is held every June in Northeast Ohio. We have open competitions for films and scripts in the following genres: experimental (film only), fantasy, horror, horror-comedy, slasher, sci-fi and suspense-thriller. We also accept trailers, music videos, TV pilots (film or script), and web episodes (film or script) for projects in the listed genres.

This year we will also be holding the second annual Room 237 Film Competition where film makers will compete to create a film in 30 days making use of a murder weapon assigned during a zoom kick off meeting. The Jeju International Drone Film Festival (JDFF), hosted by JIBS and supervised by the Jeju International Drone Film Festival Organizing Committee, is the first drone film festival in Korea. For works from all over the world, outstanding works are selected and awarded in each of six categories (DroneTact in Cityspace, Landscape, Dronography, Genre, Drone Still Photography, Short Film).
The video program will be screened at the Jeju International Convention Center (ICC JEJU) throughout the event period, and photographic works will also be displayed. Nicobis, media center for new ideas and the cultural multi-space Casa Espejo organizes the fourteenth International Festival of Audiovisual Productions for Children and Adolescents, to be held in the city of La Paz, Bolivia, from 2 to 10 of October 2024.

Cultural Association Time & Memory organizes the thirteenth edition of the Short Film Festival called "SHORT TO SOUTH", to be held in Polla (SA)ITALY from the 21 - 22 June 2025 at the Auditorium "Holy Nicolicchio".
The Bastalavista is a Genre Film Festival established in Hannover (Germany) in 2019. The festival is founded and run only by two people: Wiebke and Johannes Thomsen, the two owners and operators of the awarded LODDERBAST movie theater in Hannover, with 28 seats on 39 squaremeters the smallest movie theater in the world and one of a kind with homemade food and more than 100 different craft beers.
The festival defines the "genre" film as science-fiction, fantasy, horror, action, thriller, mystery or dark comedy including forward-thinking, experimental and dark interpretations of the traditional film genres.
